A month later, we left for the Olympics. We were all on a plane, at least I thought so. I asked Megan where Addison was "Oh, she just gets really sick on planes," she explained. "Oh," I responded. I had been going back to practice with Megan and Coach Tanya, and I could land the three twists, it just wasn't very clean. As we landed and walked around Rio, I saw where we were staying. It was a lot bigger and prettier than I expected. "Wow!" Everyone exclaimed in unison. We all started chattering about which leotard we were going to choose, and who got what bed. We all ran inside and Megan and I made a beeline for the room with a single, king sized bed. "Dibs!" We both called at the same time. "Girls, you realize the bed is meant for me, right?" We all exclaimed. Except for Addison, who was still in the bathroom, seeing her breakfast for the second time. After two hours we had settled on purple, red, blue. There were others, but these stood out to us. We had a grueling day of practice. Conditioning for three hours. Who does that. Anyhow, it continued like that for a week until the Games. Finally, it was time to start warming up. I almost forgot my jacket. There were people shouting my name. It was glorious. As I strutted out onto the floor to start, people were shouting my name. "Kira, Kira!" They all shouted. But it wasn't Mrs. Lumper's voice. this was for real. Oh, boy. Here we go.
