Prompt: Y/n went on an adventure commission. It seemed like a normal, easy one, just scaring off some treasure horders. But, it ended up quite differently.

Tw: Blood and Injury mentioned (not graphic description), Angst

You knew he was right. Oh god, how you wished right now that you listened to him. This comission wasn't a good idea. It was a trap. He TOLD you many times but being your stubborn self, you still went. Alone. So, that's how you got into this situation. Lying on a dirty ground, clothes torn, body bruised, with blood seeping thru your adventure clothes. You knew there was noone that could save you. Alone, in a deserted village on the edge of Liyue. Everyone was too far away. HE was too far away. You smiled bitterly, knowing, he was right. For the thousandt time. With your leaving strenght you rolled on your back, softly grunting because of the pain.
"The sky's beautiful..." you said for yourself, looking at the stars. With your wondering mind, you started to think about how you always were watching the stars with your loved one. You loved stars. But something you loved even more was Zhongli, carresing your hair while explaining any and every starsign you could see. You didn't remember much from it. Always just listening to his calming voice, while staring into his beautiful eyes. They had something you couldn't put into words. Everytime you looked into them, you could see your- home. There was something warm and relaxing, even if he was angry. His whole existence felt like your home. Ah, how you wished you could just lay on his chest and hear, that everything will be alright. You knew that wasn't the case. You knew, that you probably won't even survive until the morning. What an unfair world... If you could see his smile one last time, then you would die happy. So you raised your hand and pointed to the sky. "Thats the Big Dipper, isn't it?" you asked, like he could hear you. Unfortunately, that was not the case. You didn't even know, if that was correct. It was the first constellation you could remember.

Tears started to escape your tired eyes, soon followed with sobs. It hurt, everydamn sob hurt and more blood seeped from your wound, but you couldn't stop it. You wanted to go home. To him. You would give up everything, just to go back to him. He was probably worrying, going back and forward. Imagining it, you laughed a bit thru your cries, hissing right after it. You closed your eyes, when black spots started to appear in your vision, putting your hand on your stomach, not even trying to hold the wound. It was too late, it was useless. Until you heard your name. Faintly, but heard it. It was a familiar voice...But who could it be? You didn't have the energy to open your eyes. Why would you anyways. It's not like it would change anything. "Y/n!" you heard again, closer, followed by your head being lifted and put on something softer than the dirty ground. "What did I tell you! You should have stayed home! Or let me come with you! Oh god, you idiot..." a manly, panicked voice said. "Zhongli...?" you said, almost silently, finally opening your eyes a bit. You smiled. Even with tears spilling from his eyes, rigid breathing, unstyled hair, he was still beautiful. Like the brightest star on the sky. Raising slowly your hand, you carresed his cheek. He was saying something, but you coudln't hear him. More like, you heard him, but couldn't comprehend his words. Those eyes. Those beautiful warm eyes were the only thing you could concentrate on. You let your hand fall, when you felt being lifted in the air. "I love you..." you whispered, cuddling into his chest, slowly falling into the darkness. You were happy. You were...home.
