Chapter 3

It was now lunch time, and Veronica was met with her brother who was waiting outside her math class.

"How was art and math?" Victor asked, throwing an arm around his twins shoulder's.

"Eh, they were okay. I met this girl called Alice, she was in my art class and boy can she talk. She's insanely pale and has topaz gold eyes" She explained with a very small smile, but that didn't go unnoticed by Victor.

"Oh, yeah? It seems like you made a friend, and with a human no less" He snickered, gaining a punch in the arm from his sister.

"That's the thing...she's not human. She's a vampire. Alice is like the ones we've met over the years, but instead of having red eyes she has golden ones" Veronica whispered into his ear, as they walked into the cafeteria.

"First mutts and now blood suckers, great" Victor mumbled, as he handed his sister a tray. The two got their food and moved to find an empty table near the back.

Talking amongst themselves, they didn't notice that the guy from earlier had decided to bring his friends over to sit with them.

"Hey, Creed twins. Mind if we sit with you?" Eric asked, and instead of waiting for an answer he just sat down next to Veronica along with the others.

Veronica frowned instantly, when she smelt lust coming from the group. Eric and two other boys were staring at Veronica, while two girls were ogling Victor.

"You're the newbie's right?" Asked the girl with hazel brown hair, and an obvious fake smile on her face.

"What gave it away? The fact that you've never seen us before, or the fact that this stupid school has nothing better to talk about other then the new twin students" Veronica answered with fake enthusiasm, making Victor chuckle under his breathe and for the girl's face to flush red.

"Sorry about that, I'm Angela, this is Jessica and those two are Mike and Tyler" Angela spoke, smiling lightly at the obviously annoyed Creed girl.

"Well i don't think we need to introduce ourselves" Victor spoke up sarcastically, but the two girls didn't notice it or if they did they didn't care.

"You don't speak much do you?" Jessica said, looking to veronica who was quietly eating her fries.

"I don't like people" She glared, making Jessica quickly look away from the girl. The group spoke amongst themselves, while Veronica looked around the room until her eyes stopped on a great of familiar looking people.

Jessica and Angela could see who had gotten Veronica's attention, making the two smirk at each other.

"They're the Cullen's. Dr. and Mrs Cullen's foster kids. They all moved down here from Alaska--like two years ago" Jessica started to explain.

"I didn't ask, but okay" Veronica mumbled, watching the group walk inside.

"They kinda keep to themselves" Angela added.

"Yeah, cause they're all together. Like, together-together" Jessica said. Veronica could smell the lust and envy coming from Jessica, making her roll her eyes at the desperate girl.

"The blonde one, Rosalie, and the fit dark-haired guy Ian...they're like a thing. I'm not even sure it's legal" Jessica cringed in disgust.

"If they're not related, then it's not Illegal genius" Veronica snapped, feeling her blood already starting to boil.

It's not common for Veronica to stick up for people like that, except her brother, but she found that she quite liked Alice.

"I know, I'm just saying" The girl rolled her eyes, then turned back to the group. Veronica suddenly felt Victor freeze when the next person walked in, which happened to be Alice.

"The short haired girl, that's Alice....she's really weird" Victor let out a small growl at Jessica's words, but only his sister could hear it. By the look on his face, and the fact that Alice is smiling brightly at him, the two were mates.

"Those three, they're the single one's of the group along with Alice. The golden-haired one, that's Jasper the one who always looks like he's in pain. The big dark-haired one next to him is Emmett, and the one with the great hair, is Edward"

It was Veronica's turn to freeze, when she saw Emmett and Jasper. The two males were already staring at Veronica, and you could see the instant fond looks in their eyes. Veronica on the other hand was panicking. Her mind was only yelling one thing:

'Mates' 

The girls eyes widened, and her blood ran cold. She could already feel the strong pull towards the two, and their heavenly scents filled her nose. Victor, who could feel her distress, turned to his sister and saw how white she had gone.

"Ronnie, are you okay? What's the matter?" He asked quietly, placing a hand on her clenched one.

"Th-they're my..." Was all she could say, before she quickly stood from her seat and nearly bolted out of the cafeteria, with Victor not too far behind.

Emmett and Jasper, who were sitting at their table, both looked at each other in concern and confusion. Why did she run off like that?

"It's okay, Jas, Em. She was just overwhelmed, she'll warm up to you two. It'll just take time" Alice she warmly, as she stared at the door her mate and her best friends mate left through.
