"Mom!," Yelled a small boy," Are we ready to give that sermon at noon today?", the child asked a kindly looking woman. " Yes Markus, I would hope so, because if I recall it was YOU who had to help me prepare it," she said as she looked at the boy now name Markus with exasperation. Markus, now with a sheepish look, replied," yeah, yeah I forgot about that." She looked at him in what appeared to be amusement," Well lucky for you, I had one prepared just in case, so you can rest easy." Markus nodded as he started to see people begin to fill through the entrance.
TIME SKIP TO END OF SERMON
" Will you stand for Jesus? For those standing, I welcome you to the house of God," a serious looking man said, overlooking a crowd of 30 or 40 people. There was large amounts of clapping and hallelujahs from the crowd. When the man saw his family, he walked up to them," So how'd I do," he said smiling," You did fine honey, but try not to sound so challenging next time," the mother said amused. He looked at his son, and kneeled before him," One day all this," he gestured around the church," will be yours and you will do a damn fine job of it son." Markus looked at him, tears beginning to brim," Thank you dad," he said choking up. His dad got up, dusted his pants, and looked at his family, just enjoying the sight of them all happy for once. The wife looked at him, then blinked in surprise," Honey, I just remembered, we have to go to the store today!" The father looked at her and just laughed," You're right, so how about we all go, and I guess after that we can go to the park, y'know as a..." He got lost on his words," family bonding moment," his wife finished for him. "Yeah, that," he laughed," So how about it?" She though over it for a second or two before nodding in consent.
TIME SKIP 2 HOURS
"Well that was peaceful," said the wife as the family was walking to the entrance of the park. "Yeah, but unfortunately, those damned kids yelling about 'danger' kinda ruined it," the dad said angry. As they inched closer to the exit, they heard screaming. The dad looked alarmed while the mom looked panicked," Mom, what's happening," Markus asked in fear. "I-i don't know, sweetheart," she replied nervously. The family jumped when the heard a roar that was coming, at what seemed to them. Markus looked over and saw the thing, the creature that would give him nightmares that would plague him for the rest of his life. A huge, roughly the size a tank, black furred dog with red, fiery eyes was running at them and covering ground and would be on them in the next few seconds. "GET DOWN," the dad yelled as the beast lunged at his son, when all of sudden it just disappeared in the shadows. All of a sudden Markus and his dad hear their mom/wife scream, they look over in pure despair and fear as they see her being torn apart by the tank like dogs. "NO, MARRRY/MOOOM," both the dad and son scream out. The dad however overcomes his fear quicker, and jumps at the beast. "YOU EVIL SONOFABITCHMOTHERFUCKER, GO BACK TO HELL," the dad screams out in rage as climbs the demon's back. But all of sudden it jerks forward and he goes flying over it's head. The dog then prowled over to him with the gait of a predator. Markus, frozen in fear watched as his mother and father were torn apart and eaten in front of him. He gasps in fear as the demon suddenly turns around and looks at him, it slowly makes its way over to him. As it's right in front of him, the head leans down and looks him right in the eye, and...
"Hhhhuhhh,"a man gasps as he wakes up from the hell that that nightmare was. 'Things just don't go away, do they," the man thought bitterly. "Well, I do suppose it's time to get ready to work," he muttered to himself.
The man got up, stretched his body and popped those old joints and started to get dressed.
TIME SKIP 20 MINUTES
As he was driving his (insert nerd voice) 2009 dodge charger SXT, he was going over the plan for tonight. 'So, I'm going to entrap them here... mutter mutter mutter'. He was jerked out of thoughts when he heard someone honk and yell," Hurry up ASSHOLE, WE GOT PLACES TO BE!" The man just gave him the finger and sped up, getting to work just on time.
