chapter nine

Alina

I wake up feeling shit and Kade lightly tapping on my forehead.

"What are you doing?" I mumble in a sleepy voice.

"Finally, that took ages and I was trying to wake you up, dumbass," he says rolling his eyes and moving to his side of the room.

Just then, Isabella comes rushing in.

"Hey babe, are you okay? Yesterday was so weird, it all happened so quickly. One minute you were going to find Jess and Jason and the next your screaming at Jess about Jason cheating on you with her. That sounds awful, do you want me to bring you up breakfast?"

"I'm pretty sure she can walk herself to breakfast, it wasn't that bad," Kade says and Isabella shoots him a dirty look.

"It's okay, I'll come down. Kade, however much of a wanker he is, makes a point. It was just a breakup and if I don't come down to breakfast then everyone will think I'm weak or something. Urgh, I just know Sky will have something to say about it," I say, dreading the thought.

"She's just a bitch, don't mind her. Anyway you'll have me, Marina and Noah so it will be okay," Isabella reassures me. "Okay, I'll give you time to change and stuff, meet me at breakfast, love you babe," Isabella says and leaves.

"Yes, I'm sure Noah can cheer you right up," Kade snipes and I give him a confused look.

"You sound pretty jealous there, Kade," I say turning to pick up my uniform.

Suddenly, I feel a hand wrap around my waist and Kade leans his mouth to my ear.

"Would you like me to be jealous, Alina," he whispers in my ear and a shiver runs down my back. I become very aware about how close our bodies are, my ass pressed up against an area of him very close to his dick.

"What are you doing?" I whisper, my breath hitching as I feel his mouth graze the side of my cheek.

"Answer the question, darling. Would you like me to be jealous?" He says and with forgetting how to breathe, I seem to have also forgotten how to speak.

To my no reply, he brushes his lips against my cheekbone getting closer to my mouth. I lean into him and turn my head to his lips.

"What are you doing, Alina?" He whispers and I lean my lips closer to his. I meet his eyes.

"I don't know," I whisper back. Our lips are almost touching now until he moves away.

"It seems like I got the answer to that question," He says and leaves the room. I let out a breath and smack my forehead. What the fuck was I thinking? Just broken up with Jason and now I've nearly kissed Kade, fucking Kade of all people? God, I'm such an idiot. But what the fuck is his problem?

I leave the room frustrated and make my way down the stairs to breakfast.

I spot the table with everyone sitting down and I sit in the empty seat next to Noah. I see Kade watching me do this but he's one to talk, sitting in his lap is none other than fucking Sky.

"Oh Alina, I heard about your little fight with Jason, how sad. But I don't blame him, I would also go for the hotter option," Sky remarks giving me a bitchy glare.

I give her a bored look. "Oh sorry, am I supposed to be offended?" I say and she scoffs, biting down on a piece of toast.

"Are you okay, about yesterday?" Noah asks me quietly and I turn to him a nod.

"Yeah, as okay as I can be. He was a dick anyway," I say to him and he nods sympathetically.

"At least your single now, it's always better anyway because now you can actually kiss people in spin the bottle without feeling guilty," He says and I smile.

"That's very true," I say and he grins at me back. I hear a cough from opposite us, and see Sky and Kade glaring at us.

"Sorry to interrupt your little pity date, but can you pass the jam?" Sky asks and I raise my eyebrows.

"No bitch, get it yourself," I say and hear Noah choking back a laugh at Sky's face.

"Fine then," She mutters and flicks her hair behind her and makes a show of stretching over Kade, shoving her boobs in his face in the process, to reach the jam. I give Kade a disapproving look but he's just glaring in between Noah and me.

"Anyway," Noah says laughing  turning back towards me.

"Oh yeah I was gonna ask if you found that book," I said grinning.

"A pretty good one, seems the librarian has a taste for smut herself," he says and I laugh.

"Omg you both are so boring, books literally suck," Sky says.

"Yeah, almost as much as you do on the weekends," I retort.

"Ugh shut up bitch, are you still in a bad mood from Jason fucking cheating on you?" She shouts.

"I think you've mistaken me from someone who gives a fuck, Sky."

"You literally think you fucking own this school but you don't, I do," she says and I start laughing.

"You really think that? I feel sorry for you then," I say. I know I'm being a bitch and I probably shouldn't stoop to her level but it's Sky, I don't care if im a bitch to her.

"I fucking hate you!" She shouts in my face and then storms off. I'm trying not to laugh but seeing Isabella and Noah also holding in laughs is too much for me and I burst out.
