"holy shit! who the hell owns this place?!" you ogled in awe at the masterpiece that awaited you the moment you stepped foot in the mansion where the event would be held. amiri too followed after you and immediately dashed up one of the two staircases that glimmered in the warm lighting of the building. they led up to a gated balcony that hovered just above the welcoming landing, big enough to fit at least 20 people with comfort and decorated with the most beautiful gold detailing you could imagine. "don't tell me one of you-"

"it's ran's place, but we rent it out for other rich goons to use to cover up all the money laundering." rindou said monotonously, as if owning a place so heavenly was the norm for these men. he wandered off up the stairs as you mirrored his actions, running up the other set of stairs like a child who had just moved into a new home and tracing the banisters with your supple fingertips.

"ran! when can i get a place like this~ literally a bachelor-pad!" you giggled in marvel, hanging your head over the balcony and yelling down at ran who was around 2 whole metres below, while rindou made his way to you with a subtle smile on his face.

"this is where you and me will spend most of the night, important people will come up here to talk to you and me, all you gotta do is shake their hands and throw out a little smile~ and of course give your speech when provoked." rindou spoke awarely, knowing exactly what he was on about. you were unbothered by his words, distracted by the sheer beauty of the million dollar house, before a warm hand upon the small of your back gave every decibel you were hearing more clarity. rindou looked forth to ran, sanzu, kokonoi, mikey and kakucho now entering the building with crates; acting as if his hand wasn't pulling you closer and closer to his existence. in that moment you doubted every drop of platonic feelings you held towards rindou in the past, your eyes falling wide at the sight of the sly smirk on his face as he called down to the men below. "sanzu, make sure you don't fuckin' drop that shit! there's bottles in there!" he pointed before leaning forward onto the balcony and leaning his head in his right hand, his left now tracing small circles through the thin fabric of your dress, slowly wrapping his one hand around your waist and giving you more comfort than you ever thought you'd need.

something flicked inside you, the nonchalant appearance he held so well almost bugged you. a part of you wanted him to be nervous, a guilty part of you wanted him to have the same anxious look on his face he did when he first saw you again. you liked that feeling. the feeling of having power over him, the way you always used to. it made you feel in control, like you were the one directing where you and rindou went. he was nothing like how ran had told you.

"come on angel, let me show you the back rooms." he whispered with a new confidence, only for you to hear before pulling you away by the waist from the swarms of other workers entering the building with boxes and crates. you damned rindou, he must have noted your flustered reaction to his touch. "unless you're scared to be alone with me?"

"...where's all this confidence from then, hm?" you hummed casually as you slipped out of rindou's grasp, skimming your glance out of the window of the room he had led you to. a beautiful garden stretched across the back, acres upon acres of green grass trimmed to an appealing height and dotted with the most beautiful patches of flowers you had ever seen. "didn't see all this cockiness with you last night? something's changed, i know it." you hummed with a fake hint of inquisition.
