BACKGROUND——
I have two parents that met an early age who eventually fell in love and decided to get marry. My mom was 19 and my dad was 20. Things took a turn for the worst once they moved in together. My mom already had a child (my half sister, Shakira) with a guy in her high school. Shakira's dad didn't want anything to do with my mom after she told him she was pregnant and moved to Mississippi. And when my grandma found out she kicked my mom out the house to live with my aunt. But my dad didn't cared about my mom having a child, he had a big heart for wanting to have a big family since he never had one because he was place in fosters homes to fosters homes at an early age of 8.Many families didn't wanted him because of his dark complexion. During this time, many people found boys who were 'much lighter' with curly/wavy hair to be good boys while those who aren't are 'black devils'. Nevertheless, my parents had me very quickly and my mom finally realized the burden and responsibilities of having to raise now 2 children to be strenuous (even though she didn't work). So she began leaving us much often to go out clubbing/partying (without telling my dad) while my dad who worked tirelessly full-time around the clock. Later down the road, she became promiscuous by cheating so much so that she became pregnant by a stranger at a club🤪. Bringing my little sister, Akayla, into this world.
The sad part is that the man doesn't even know he created a baby with my mom bc it's was a one-night stand. She lied to my dad originally and said it was his until a few friends of my dad told him to do a DNA test because Akayla has zero resemblance of my dad. She didn't even look like my mom who was fairly light. But Akayla's was yellow skinned, big brown-greenish eyes with straight/wavy hair. Once the test came back 99.9% not related, Akayla being 3 years old, my dad was furious. For most men though, they would've packed there bags and dipped but my dad was still mildly in love with my mom and traumatized by his past that he wanted to save his marriage with her and work things out. (Btw my dad was very mature for his age ). But my mom continued her pattern and saw my dad's compassion as weakness which made her become aggressively rude. And if she saw my dad taking only me to the park or some place, she would get defensive and tell my dad to bring Akayla and Shakira too. My dad like taking my half sisters places too but he told her many times that he didn't like being told what to do.
Fast forward, my dad divorced my mom and she been keeping me away from my dad all throughout my life. We have lived in crime-ridden places with drug dealers, gangs, bed bugs and a lot of shootings when my mom moved. We didn't have this problem when my dad was the man of the house. At the time, I thought that this was how life is for everyone when I started going to school. We would hear cussing and ambulances come in our hotel complex often and see guys carry weapons like they did in the movies. Little did I know, my mom went to the court to get full custody over me and lied to them saying my dad didn't want to be in my life so she could put him on child support. I thought this was it for me but my dad didn't give up wanting to be in my life. God was using him.
