F/b = Favorite band (more so like an old band, y'know it is the 80's)
y/n's pov
God, this class is boring. I placed my chin on both of my fists and looked up at the clock.
"1:59..."
So, 11 more minutes until school's over, that sounds about right? And I still need time to get ready for tonight. Should I wear something nice for later? Nahh It's just a D&D game, I don't need to look nice. I'll just wear what I'm wearing now.
I look down at my outfit. I'm wearing my F/b t-shirt and raggidy ripped jeans, still a little tight around my waist though. My black converse are worn out and they have black sharpie drawings all over the white parts, drawings I would do in class when I was bored.
"Y/n?...Y/n!" Mrs Johnson hollered at me, taking me out of another trance. I looked up at her, taking my hands off my chin. "Hu- yeah?"
"Did you hear me? What's the answer to number 6?" Mrs. Johnson crossed her arms and leaned against the chalkboard. Oh no, she looks mad. Shit what do I say?
I began to stumble over my words. "Uhmm... It's.."
I looked around, seeing if anyone else knew the answer. The palms of my hands became sweaty. I looked back at Mrs. Johnson, then just shrugged. I may look tough on the outside but I'm a nervous wreck on the inside.
She sighed "Maybe if you weren't daydreaming, you would know what the answer is."
The bell rang. Everyone began to collect their belongings and head out the classroom. I collected my books and stuffed them in my bag. I grabbed my bag and swung it over my shoulder, heading towards the door. But as I was about to leave, Mrs. Johnson called me over "Y/n, may I speak to you for a moment?"
I sighed under my breath and turned around, walking over to her desk. "Yeah? What's up?"
She sat down at her desk, then looked up at me. "Y/n... I see you're failing my class. You keep dozing off or better yet, I see you looking like you're in a different world... Is everything okay at home?'
I stood there, just looking at her. I didn't know what to tell her. I just wanted her to hurry up so I can get the hell out of here. "I'm fine. Just been a little tired I guess, y'know."
She looked me up and down, then deeply sighed. She got up and walked towards me, placing her hand on my shoulder. "Just get your assignments in...Okay?" I hesitantly nodded, looking up at her. She took her hand off my shoulder and gave me a gentle smile. "Have a nice weekend Y/n..."
I left the classroom and started speed-walking to the front of school to meet up with Eddie. I sat at one of the tables outside of the school, sitting there waiting for this big loser. As I sat there waiting I watched one of the cheerleaders walk out of the woods near the school. What was her name again? God, I can't put my finger on it. I sat there thinking for some time... OH Chrissy! Yeah Chrissy Cunningham That's her name! What was she doing in the woods? Beats me.
As I sat there, my mind running, Eddie walked up behind me. He shook my shoulder's trying to spook me. "Did I scare ya?" Eddie chuckled. I rolled my eyes. "Pfft No" I lied. He did kinda get to me. "Aww really? I was hoping that I did. Cause when I usually scare the shit out of you, you get mad at me. Which is kinda cute." I looked at him and smiled, rolling my eyes. "Oh shut up, you ready to go? If you want me coming tonight I have to get home and do some homework before coming over." Eddie looked at me like I was stupid or something. "You actually do homework? The Y/n L/n....does homework?" Eddie said in such a cocky tone. I scoffed, "Yeah because if I actually don't do some work, my mom will beat my ass." I got up and swung my bag over my shoulder. We began walking towards Eddie's van. "I guess that's true, I know how you're mom gets. I mean she would never beat my ass, she adoreees me" He looked at me and grinned, before swinging the van door open and hopping in. I rolled my eyes "Yeah right." I hopped in the passenger seat of his van, holding my backpack in my lap. He starts it up and begins to head home.
