REMEMBERING BEN PARKER

Two weeks ago, Ben Parker, a middle aged man, was shot during an attempted robbery. The entire community mourns the loss of one of its most prominent members. He was an inspiration to many, and often helped out neighbours with their difficulties.

The shooter was later apprehended, but police released the information that he appeared to be trapped in what they described as a giant spiderweb.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife and adopted nephew.

MASKED MAN FOILS ROBBERY

Witnesses claim an unknown masked man was seen exiting Delmar's Bodega after stopping two suspects from attempting to rob the establishment. Police Captain Jean DeWolff said "We've heard of good Samaritans, but in my 10 year tenure, I've never seen anything like this." The two criminals were taken to county jail.

The identity of the man is unknown, but police are looking into the matter, and request anyone with potentially valuable information to step forward.

SPIDER-MAN

Article by Ben Urich

A masked vigilante in red and blue has taken to swinging along the skyline of Queens. Like many of the costumed figures in NYC, his goal appears to take down criminals.

"He climbed up the wall just like a spider," said third grader Anya Corazon. Third grade teacher Heidi Fugeman was a witness of one of his heroic acts.

"We saw him for just a brief period of time, when he stopped some of the students under my watch from running into the road in front of a car because their soccer ball got kicked into the street."

She sincerely thanks the masked man for saving these children's lives. After stopping them from going into the street, he swung away on what looked like some kind of rope.

However, what makes this man so special is his bold choice of colours and friendly demeanor towards citizens. He appears to be very talkative as well, being spotted primarily during the mornings and evenings on weekdays.

Police discourage acts of vigilantism, and say that anyone wanting to aid in the fight against crime can become a police officer, rather than fighting with a mask on.

Who is this mysterious masked man, and what are his motives in the long term?

NEW YORK'S SPIDER-MENACE

Editorial by J. Jonah Jameson

The so-called Spider-Mania is sweeping over the city.

Who knows what his intentions are? Only criminals would wear masks in public for no reason at all!

Parents and children alike are afraid of this man, and the police are asking anyone with information to step forward.

I implore you all to leave crime-fighting to the courageous men and women of the police force.

As if one Spider-Menace wasn't enough, they sure don't need a militia of costumed amateurs harassing people on the street.
