Back at the Sanctuary, Soph went to the Population Management Department to deliver a report about Trein going missing.
"Trein... Londel?" The woman at the computer raised an eyebrow. "He went missing? When?"
"Two hours ago. When we went out on the scout and gathering mission."
The woman burst out laughing. "He went and got himself killed. Honestly, if it were anyone else, we might have sent someone out to look, but that guy had it coming. Sorry miss, can't help you."
"You... How can you people be so cold to him just because of his father?"
"Like father, like son they say."
"But Trein isn't like that. He wouldn't want to hurt anyone."
"Why are you so sure?"
"We've been friends since we were little. I know what kind of person he is."
"Girl, people change. The guy you knew when you were 10 won't be the same guy you know when you turn 18."
"But..."
"Face it, it's a lost cause. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do." She said as she turned her attention back to holographic computer screen.
Soph left the building feeling even more angry than before. Why were people like this? For something that he had no control over, he was treated so badly for. Her brown eyes were almost filled with flames.
"Hey, Sophia!"
A woman called out to Soph as she walked along.
"Huh? Yes? Ms. Hana?"
Sophie looked up at the tall dark skinned woman, around 5ft 7" dressed in a dirtied denim jacket and green undershirt and some brown pants. Her black hair seemed to flow as she walked.
"How'd the practical go?"
"It... it went fine."
"You don't seem fine though." She looked at Soph's small frame, almost balled up like a scared cat yet her face was one of someone contemplating murder.
"Y- You're in charge of one of the assault teams, right?" Soph blurted out.
"Yes, why?"
"I want to join Assault." Soph nearly shouted, failing to hold back her anger any more.
"Huh? What? Why the sudden change of heart? I thought you hated hurting things. Let alone the Turned which look like people."
"Well... people change. I suddenly feel like destroying something. Just give me a weapon already and let me go out there."
"Okay, okay. Come with me. I'll get you signed up."
Soph knew that it was unlike her, but right now, she was too angry to even think straight. She just wanted to release her pent up feelings and that would be it.
As they walked through the Assault Department's building, Hana stopped here and there to greet some members and Soph herself got some greetings from some who recognized her. A few asked her if she was visiting someone and were left dumbfounded upon finding out that she was joining them.
They were now at one of the Recruitment Section's filling stations. Hana sat in the unoccupied seat and booted up the holographic computer.
"What was your last name again?"
"Glennor."
"Glennor... Gle-" She paused for a second, something having caught her eye. "Oh... I see... you're his daughter..."
