Dear diary,

There isn't anything new or extraordinary these days, we, non-champions, are having a normal study schedule. There are exams normally, homework normally, everything is alright. Although I have to confess, Cedric Diggory is being very kind to me lately, which is a bit odd in some ways. I think he has a crush on me... and I have to admit, I think he's very sweet too.

But Harry is cute too, and I think he does like me a lot. But... he's a year younger than me! It's strange to think about him that way. He's a baby in relation to me!I'm in such dilemma!

Dear diary,

I heard that the first task should be in the 24th, about a week or 2 from today. Marietta likes to eavesdrop sometimes. Most times she gets unhelpful knowledge, but sometimes like now she does get some useful bits of it. And she was the one who told me about it. I'm nervous for the champions, I'm curious to know what it will be!

..

It's already the 24th! And today is the first task! I'm very excited and also nervous, but mostly concerned about what it would be, and how the champions will manage to survive it.

Marietta and I went to the Quidditch pitch where the first task would be and we're waiting impatiently for it to begin. So far I know that the Champions need to battle a Dragon ‏and the objective was to collect a golden egg that each dragon kept within, and inside that egg there is a clue for the 2nd task.

Oh, it's starting! Cedric is the first one to start.

Wow, he's really impressing by the way he fought the Dragon (his Dragon was a Swedish Short-Snout), he really impressed the crowd! He turned a rock that was at the pitch into a dog, so the dragon went for the dog instead of him, and so he could win the dragon without being caught by him.

Next one Fleur Delacour. She won the Dragon very hardly and it was impressive and also quite pitiful to watch her fight it. I think she was trying to put it into a trance – well, that kind of worked, too, it went all sleepy, but then it snored, and a great jet of flame shot out, and her skirt caught fire – she put it out with a bit of water out of her wand. And then apparently she won it.

Now it was Viktor Krum's turn. He hit his Chinese Fireball with a weird spell right in the eye. But it went trampling around and squashed half the real eggs... I think they'll take marks off for that, the champions aren't supposed to do any damage to any of the eggs.

Last one was Harry, and he was the most impressive of the four first he casted the accio charm to summon his Firebolt. As soon as it came he climbed on it and flew away from the Dragon and tried to collect the egg. However unfortunately he got the Hungarian horntail to fight with and ‏since it was the strongest dragon of the bunch it released itself from the chains that held it back and started to fly after Harry, and they flew away from the Quidditch pitch. About 10 minutes later we heard the dragon fall and die, and then Harry came back and collected the egg. Hooray!

Then eventually the judges gave the scoring. For Cedric, they had put a total of 37 points. For Fleur, they had put a total of 30 points. For Krum and for Harry, 40. That means that they're tied.

..

The next day was embarrassing, but only at breakfast.

"Cho, Cho!"

"What?"

"Harry is looking at you!", everyone was giggling.

I turned around to see him, and smiled at him. He accidentally spat out his drink when he tried to smile back at me. Everyone around me started to giggle again. I felt so embarrassed. I shushed them and turned back at him again. Poor kid! It wasn't his fault. He's shy! Give him a rest...
