Chapter 5

The rest of the day was uneventful but once the Sun started to go down Amy climbed up into a large tree making herself comfortable although she could do with some food, that was something she'd totally forgotten about, thankfully she'd had a bottle of water in her saddle bag which she'd taken with her.
The fairies were on the branches and leaves this time as they were getting closer to her destination and resting on her could draw unwanted attention.
Amy was just nodding off when she heard the forest coming to life and movement on the ground, she saw what looked like a small pig walking along the path when something Jumped out the bushes grabbing the pig like creature in it's Jaws and the crunch of bones. Amy felt sick and the thought of food had gone. The moonlight came out as a large cloud moved away, she could now see what had had dinner or was it a midnight snack. It was bipedal, legs similar to a bull with fur up to and blending onto it's stomach, the top half was dark but just skin up to it's neck then shocked she saw it looked like a big wolf's head but had two large tusks pointing upwards with very sharp points, it was licking it's lips while looking up into the tree. Amy slowed her breathing down realising that with very large ears like that it may be able to hear her.
It walked towards the tree still looking up cocking it's head from side to side. Eleanor suddenly zapped it between the eyes causing the wolf like creature to run off.
"Eleanor am I still invisible ".
"Yes Princess, he may of smelt your scent, invisibility doesn't stop things like that".
"Oh, that's good to know, thank you".
Amy wondered if this was there normal size or were they bigger, she decided to ask in the morning and went back to sleep.

In the morning Amy didn't get a chance to ask Eleanor about their true size as they heard before they saw twenty guards marching along the pathway heading towards the Gate.
Amy held her breath not wanting to give her location away.
They suddenly stopped, the one who looked in charge started looking around. Amy didn't move and looked at Eleanor who was also watching them intently.
"There's strong magic here I can sense it".
"There's fairies in that Tree Captain ?".
"No, this is far more powerful than them, try not to disturb them but look around and you two climb up the tree and have a good look".
As the two men started to climb she saw the fairies Spheres move away from each other, Amy thought they were leaving her to her fate when all the Spheres disappeared and Amy was looking at 5 foot tall fairies with 6 foot wing spans.
The guards fired balls of energy at them but they put up shields which disintegrated them, then fired back. Amy had her eye's closed until she heard the two men on the tree being picked up and flown way up beyond the tree's and then let go.
She hoped they had magic to cushion there fall. Nope they didn't.
Guards zero, Fairies 2.
She could see more guards laying on the floor, eventually two ran off towards the Gate.
Fairies 16, Guards zero.
"Omg Eleanor I didn't realise you could be so........".
"Big!!, this is our normal size but being small has the advantage of not looking dangerous and catching our enemies by surprise".
"I could of helped you".
"No, if one escaped with knowledge of you the King would hunt you down before you could catch him off guard Princess, it's better this way, let us protect you until you get there, but we will still be close by for you".
"Thank you so much Eleanor and all of you too".
"I'll be back in a moment, she said something to the others and they moved the bodies of the guards into the dense undergrowth. When Eleanor came back she placed a basket of food onto Amy's lap.
Amy gave her a big smile, "thank you I'm starving ". Eleanor smiled back.

They continued on there way occasionally hiding when others approached as they were very near the Summer Court now, they would hide in a tree again tonight then in the morning Amy could enter the court making sure she joined a group going in as she would still leave footprints.
That night there was nothing out of the ordinary as they were very close and the forest creatures stayed away.
Eleanor brought breakfast for Amy and then it was time to enter the lions den as they say.
She joined in with a group of twelve making sure she didn't bump into anyone and finally found herself inside, Eleanor had hidden herself inside Amy's invisible cloak and showed her towards the dungeons where they assumed Ty would be.
When they'd finally gotten down there Eleanor went looking for Tyrone as she could move around faster, eventually Amy saw her hovering by a door and she was pointing towards it. Amy looked through the small bars in the door and saw him chained to the wall.
She grabbed the door handle to use her magic to open it but found it unlocked, well he was chained to the wall so couldn't just walk out.
She quietly opened it looking around and stepped in closing the door behind her then walked to Ty wrapping her arms around him.
"Ty it's me, let's get you out of here. Ty, can you hear me".
"Uh, Amy, no you can't be here".
"I am, let's go once I've got these chain's off you".
"No Amy, it's a trap".
Amy looked towards the door and heard the click of the lock, then a green light cover the door.
"Now I've got you, whoever you are. I'll look forward to finding out what you have to hide".
As they walked away Amy could hear his laughter.
