Element Oasis: The Elite Sniper

Cht.4: Desert Region

As Caleb and Kyra left the Oasis they found a small little village and they decided to go there and get supplies for their upcoming travels. After they got all the utilities they needed, Kyra spotted an Adventurers haul and showed Caleb. He looked up at the building and realized that if they were going to be traveling together, they should find ways to make money so they could survive. being an adventure would be the best thing for them to do because they can still travel the world but also make money at the same time.

"Let's go in and become adventurers" said Caleb, Kyra turned her head and looked at him with blush in her face she smiled grabbed on to his hand "Yea lets go in" as her and Caleb go inside the Adventurers haul

The haul was nice looking and had a wall that had missions and bounties, a bar, and a reception area they went to so they could register.

"Hello, how can I help you?" said the lady at the desk, "Hey I would like to see if me and my friend could register to become adventurers" Caleb said. She then puts her hand out and ends up scanning the both of them to collect data about their element, abilities, and skills.

"Ok looks like yall are both all set and are able to become adventurers" said the lady. With cheers of joy they celebrated, "That will be 500 for the both of you total" she said with a smile on her face. Caleb then proceeds to look in his inventory and sees he only had 500 left so paying for the both of them would make him go broke.

After he paid she ended up giving them bands that let them know their ranks, class, abilities, elements, and stats. Caleb was labeled a level 6 Hunter while Kyra was labeled a level 8 Berserker. "How the hell are you higher level than me?" Caleb said out of frustration, maybe if you were a better fighter than you would be higher" she said humbly.

"Alright you guys are good to go" as the lady said they said their farewells to the lady they left the village and went on their path to becoming great adventurers.

It's been about a week and a half since C-dot and Kyra left her oasis and started traveling south into the desert region, during that time span they have gotten along really well and got that brother and sister type connection with each other. Caleb has been enjoying her company even though she has a couple of features about her that he doesn't like, a couple of them is her snoring when they sleep, She never wants to eat greens or any vegetables she only wants to eat and how she doesn't wear bras or panties. It's been driving Caleb crazy inside but he just shrugged it off and tried to not think about it.

The next day, they were walking and then the temperature started rising and trees and water started vanishing from around them one by one next thing you know they made it to the desert region.

" C-dot I'm thirsty it's getting hot and my mouth is dry" Kyra said as they started walking across the desert. Caleb looked and replied back saying " Kyra we don't have much water left you're going to have to be a trooper and fight it until we find a town." After Kyra heard Caleb's response she started complaining and whining even more. But right before Caleb could say something about her complaining a giant scorpion rose up in front of her from the ground. Both of them jumped back to get some distance, when Caleb looked up at the scorpion he could see that it was a level 13 earth element with poison as a special ability and it made Caleb more frightened because he was only a level 8 and Kyra was a 9.

Kyra starts to charge up her berserker mode but it wasn't the same, Caleb noticed that her tattoos were not as bright and glowing as when they had fought and he noticed her fins weren't sharp as they were either. " Wait, Kyra, don't attack it!!" Caleb yelled but it was too late she went on to attack the scorpion but it was really effective and then the scorpion hit her up into the air and then shot poison out of its tail like gun hitting and knocking kyra on to the ground. Caleb ran over to her and saw she was badly hurt and poisoned and saw her skin was getting dry as the tattoos started fading away.

Out of anger Caleb charges up his elemental mana and pulls out dual fire bullet pistols and starts shooting bullets at the scorpion in a crazy and weird form. It was chipping at the scorpion health but it wasn't doing enough to bring it down and then Caleb started getting week and couldn't make no more bullets for his gun he looked at his mana and found out he didn't have enough left to keep shooting at the scorpion it was at 50 health.

The scorpion makes a sandstorm surrounding them and itself in a sand tornado so no one else could join in the fight. The sand was cutting Caleb and Kyra's body getting sharper and sharper the longer they were in it, the scorpion raised it's arm and right before it could hit them Caleb looked up at the eye of the tornado and saw someone about to snipe the scorpion. "EARTH ELEMENT MAGIC GOLEM STRANGLE" a huge golem came from under the scorpion and strangled it down then she took out a bow and arrow and charges up her elemental mana to the tips of her arrows and yells out " NOW DIE" as she shot 3 arrows to the head of the scorpion and killing it in the process.

The sandstorm went away and Caleb fell to the ground and closed his eyes. A little time passed and he woke up to him being nursed back to health. He looked around and saw that Kyra was back up and at perfect health. "I healed your girlfriend next time, don't be an idiot and don't let her walk around this desert without enough water for her to keep her at full health. She would've died if I didn't come and rescue both of yall!" As she tightens his bandages tighter, "Ouchh" Caleb screamed.

The girl that saved Caleb and Kyra had on a coat with a hood on her head but she was a girl around there age with purple hair and tanned skin she also had a horn in the middle of her head which would classify her as a Ogre, Caleb was shocked because this was his first time seeing one with his own eyes instead a fake one from his video games he used to play. "Thank you for saving us and healing us umm I'm sorry what's your name?" Caleb said to the lady as he looked out at her he noticed that she is an ogre once he saw the horn in the middle of her head. "That's not important what is getting the both of you to Saharaville which is east from us but I will not be traveling with yall I have my own personal business to attend to." Caleb stood and said " Please tell us your name without you we would've been goners." But it was useless. She turned away from him and used an earth element transport spell and left them with the info to go to Saharaville.

Caleb looked at Kyra and apologized for not being cautious about how in the desert region she would need an ample amount of water to survive and they both went and traveled to the village hoping to find some information about this strange world.
