My eyes flicker open, meeting Punz's confused gaze. I yawn and stretch before sitting up. He raises and eyebrow, waiting for an explanation.

"You were asleep." I said, and the realization plastered itself on his face.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." He mumbled.

I stood up, stretching out a bit. Punz went to his kitchen to get something. A normal thing, he got really hungry in the morning. His favorite thing to eat, though, was strawberry pecan salad.

"Want some?" Punz asked, and I sighed.

"I guess I'll try it. Where's Leo at? I haven't seen him in a while." I ask, looking around.

"I think he's in my room." He responds, searching through the fridge.

I walk to Punz's room, seeing Leo curled up on the bed. The Maine Coon was a completely loving cat. Although, lately not much of her was seen, as she got very sick not too long ago. Punz thinks she's just tired from it.

"Leo, hey buddy." I whisper, petting his soft ginger fur.

The cat lifted it's head, meowing quietly. I smile down at him. His limbs outstretched and his body lifted itself up. I help support him as he tries to walk, but he didn't need it for long.

"Punz! Oh my god, Leo, come on! We gotta show Punz." I say, walking to the door.

Leo followed slowly but surely. It's gonna take time, but I know he can do it. I lead him to the kitchen where Punz is. While we wait for him to notice, Leo brushes against my legs.

"So- oh my god. Leo, buddy!" Punz says, smiling brightly.

"All it took was me petting him and he got right up." I explain.

"You are amazing! He never got up when I pet him."

"Maybe he just needed a little more time."

Punz looks at me, smiling. He walks over and wraps his arms around me. I chuckle, hugging Punz back. He was never truly one for touch, so the occasional hugs were great.

"Alright! How'd things with George go, by the way?" Punz said, pulling back and going to one of the plates of salad.

"It wasn't him. Which leaves three more people to go." I say, heading to the second plate.

I take a small bite, deciding it tastes good. Punz laughs as I'm sure he can tell I like it. He always wins, but one day he won't. Maybe.

"Punz! You absolute idiot!" I laugh, tossing the pillow back at him.

He bursts into a fit of laughter. Punz had attempted to start a pillow fight, the normal. I wouldn't have cared much if it wasn't while I was trying to clean a spill on the floor. I still don't really care, but it was a bit much for the timing.

"You can't be mad when you're laughing." He says, ruffling my hair.

"You're so unfair." I chuckle.

"Yeah yeah, just admit you love me." Punz teased, helping me clean the floor.

"Never." I smile.

Punz sticks his tongue out at me. I laugh, shoving him gently. He fell back dramatically. What a drama king, my god.

"You're such an idiot." I chuckle, and Punz sits up.

"You like idiots, so I can get behind that." He says.

"Shut up."

We both burst out laughing.
