When the four arrived at Katharine's house, they found Mr. Sharp still awake with the lights on the living room and Miss Moffett by his side. When Henry knocked on the door with Katharine by his side, Ku and Miao waiting a few feet away, Mr. Sharp was overjoyed to see his daughter rescued, while Miss Moffett smiled in the background.

Being both an intelligent and an understanding man, Mr. Sharp had figured out that Henry, Ku and Miao had snuck out of their respective houses to save his daughter. Two teenage boys and a thirteen-year-old girl out past midnight? There was certainly only one logical answer. Thus, did he say to them: "Don't worry about your parents, I'll go over to your neighbourhood first thing tomorrow morning to talk to them about this. Christopher Plummer Street, right?"

Nodding, Henry answered: "Yes, sir."

Giving him and the other two a smile, Mr. Sharp said: "Alright then, you three head on home! And you, Katharine, get off to bed!"

After "Good nights" had been said, Henry, Ku and Miao did indeed head home. For ten minutes at least, the three walked in silence, thinking about what their parents would say. There was no way that Henry's would have been such sound sleepers than they didn't hear him depart, but surely, they would be understanding. Ku and Miao's however, would probably be less understanding.

Upon reaching Christopher Plummer Street and seeing their respective parents waiting on Henry's porch, Ku's first instinct was to turn and loudly utter: "Let's beat it!" Miao's response was simply to grab her older brother by the shirt, eyes-glazed over and head shaking.

With a deadpan expression, Henry merely asked: "Where do you think you're going?"
