Twenty tall floors was enough for both Lauren and Tanner to start bickering all over again with little pause. What he didn't know though, was what Ann and his friend had done in the elevator only an hour and a half before. It made Lauren's stomach tighten, taking a deep breath to calm the racing of her thoughts. "All you ever watch is The Office, can't we watch anything else?" Tanner complained, forcing her to look at him as he hung an arm around her neck like a lazy drunk. "I will when you stop watching that theater show." She snapped back, shoving his arm away and making the metal box tremble under their weight. Tanner threw out his arms like a bird just learning to fly, going wide eyed as his life flashed before him. "If I die here you're being written out of my will." He threatened, statue still with a rocking feeling of his stomach sending bile up his throat. "So I was in it already?" Lauren chortled, wiping the grin from her face instantly as the door subpoenaed and an older couple stepped in.
Lauren and Ann's room wasn't far from the elevator, Tanner leapt onto the spare second bed and cupped his head in his hands. Lauren hurriedly straightened the sheets on the second bed, still paranoid of what her friend might find out. "JK texted me." Tanner sang softly, flipping onto his back and holding his phone above his head, tongue partially sticking out. "Tell him I said congrats on the win." Lauren flung herself next to him, pecking over his shoulder to see his screen, yelping as she was rolled onto the floor. She was about to jump back onto Tanner when a knock came from the door, saving him by seconds. "Lucky." He stuck his tongue out at her and rolled onto his stomach, protecting his screen with his broad shoulders. Lauren went to the door still grumbling under her breath, undoing each jangling lock latch. "Delivery." Ann stepped inside, holding a pack of six michelob ultra cans, handing one to Lauren as she kissed her cheek. "I want a cold one!" Tanner cheered, setting down his phone to catch the can thrown at him, happily cracking it open like a child.
Training Sessions were streamed on the hotel TV, Lauren was outvoted so that's what they were watching. Ann with her head leaned on the rider's shoulder and Tanner sprawled out on the opposite bed, crunching through their drinks. It was relatively quiet aside from the casual scoff when one of the trainers messed up but it was all in good fun. "These end in like ten hours? How do people do that?" Ann sighed, moving her leg over Lauren's to be half in her lap under the blankets, the AC turned up high. A sparking of red blush coated the older girl's neck, making her unfocus from the TV and look over at her girlfriend. Ann looked innocent, glancing up when she noticed Lauren looking at her, snuggling her head closer to her shoulder.
Tanner's phone buzzed in his pocket, forcing the rider to take the breath she'd been holding. "Just a minute." He stood from the bed and skipped towards the bathroom, humming under his breath. "Hey, who is it? Don't answer Dalla's calls here." Lauren waved him over, not daring to budge Ann who was ignoring them both to watch a black haired girl on Ducky. "It's JK, loosen up." Tanner rolled his eyes, pretending to flip his permed hair, locking the bathroom door behind him.
Alone in the room, Lauren let herself relax, pressed her face into the curve of Ann's neck, breathing in her sharp scent. Ann tilted her head, letting out a mild sigh as Lauren's gentle hands crept along her waist and then stomach. "You aren't like this with Tanner around." The trainer mumbled, reaching her hand along the older girl's neck until her fingers tangled with her short purple hair. Lauren didn't answer, too embarrassed by the reality of the statement, letting her eyes close comfortably. "Good, just like that." Ann praised as she was pulled onto Lauren's lap, setting her chin on the rider's head to keep her kissing her neck.
Call it a praise kink, which it was, but it still felt good every time Ann said something like that. Lauren stretched upwards, kissing Ann's lips now instead, arching her back and relaxing her shoulders. Tongue slipped between her teeth, mingling with her own, drawing forth a low moan. Ann slid down Lauren's legs, pushing back the blanket to tug on the waistband of her pants.
Not about to stop Ann, Lauren wriggled to slip the leggings down to her knees, still held back by the hand on her neck. The younger girl pulled her lips from Lauren's, breathing heavily as she spread her hands along her thighs. "Feel good, darling?" Ann asked huskily, kissing the soft skin along the seam of Lauren's damp panties. She could only muster a groan of agreement, scrunching the sheets in her fists. "Later then." The rider lifted her head, pulling the blanket back over Lauren's legs and sitting on her lap in posture. Still panting, Lauren could hardly open her eyes as Ann swept back her hair, tilting her head back as well.
"You're very handsome like this." Lauren caught her breath slowly, straining forward and gently pulling on Ann's lower lip, tasting of alcohol. "Nope, no, absolutely not. Good bye, good day. Kumbaya my lord, kumbaya." Both girls instantly sat back, Ann throwing the blanket over Lauren's head and squeezing her hand beneath. "Tanner, I can explain." Lauren peeked through the blanket, red faced in horror as she noticed her friend with his face turned against the wall.
Awkward silence coated the room like sticky syrup, Tanner stared blankly at the opposite wall wasn't helping. Lauren felt like she could throw up but really Tanner didn't matter, it's what Dalla might find out. "Ann." Her voice felt smaller than it should be, she cleared her throat, biting her lip and trying to muster the courage to speak. "For the love of God, like you've never slept with JK, don't act so childish." Ann rolled her eyes, tossing an empty beer can at Tanner which hit him squarely on the top of his head. "Hey! What's with the throwing stuff! Of course I've slept with JK but it's different when you walk in on your best friend. Since I did see what I saw though, here's a message for you." Lauren couldn't hide the smile that crossed her face as Tanner tried to stand on the bed, his legs wobbling.
Ann too, took her arm from around her girlfriend's neck to look up at the other trainer in full amusement. "If you break my child's heart I'll ruin your life." Everyone laughed, except Tanner, he was pretty serious on the matter. "That's offensive." Lauren defended, throwing another can to knock him off balance and send him rolling into his pile of pillows. "I think it's more offensive that you think I can't take care of what's mine." Ann jeered, lifting Lauren's chin between her thumb and pointer finger, nearly squishing her cheeks.
