At 5:00 the basketball game finally started, it was in a little court behind the stables with broken nets and rusted rims. Even with the sun working hard to shed light on the game, the senior boys trash talked like it was still early. Tracy led the trio to a bench on the far side of the bleachers, also rusted with crusted paint. "There he is, there he is!" Steph squealed, tugging on Lauren's sleeve and pointing to a point guard without a top and in sport shorts. Even to the rider, he really wasn't all that good looking, fair skinned and with rusty red hair, braces showing across thin lips. Rolling her eyes, Lauren looked out the way she'd been led to spot Ann, standing up on her tiptoes hopefully. "So who was that girl?" Tracy twirled a lock of hair around her finger, tapping Lauren's shoulder for an answer. "Um, just the trainer Mr. Terence told me to work with for the big show." A look of disbelief was shared between Tracy and Steph but the oldest girl decided to ignore it, continuing to scan for Ann. There, she waved wildly to catch the trainer's attention, smiling when she spotted her among the crowd.

To be fair there weren't many people at the game to begin with but enough to cram up the bleachers. Ann maneuvered her way through the cheering bodies to Lauren, the books back in the bag strung across her chest. Steph held out a hand as the trainer reached her friend, giving a hesitant look back before crossing her arms. The sudden stop made Lauren's chest tighten and she clenched her jaw in frustration at the blonde senior. "So you're training Lauren for the big show?" Ann looked confused by the question and played with the string to her bag, looking up at Lauren for answers. "Yes, we're working with a gelding called Ducky." Tracy tilted her head and stood up beside Steph like an attorney ready for an interrogation, Lauren huffed.

"Who we actually have rented out right now, so." Ann dropped her hands and offered one to Lauren who gratefully took it and bounced over the steep seats. Steph and Tracy watched in confusion as their friend was led away without even saying goodbye. "I thought I'd have to watch that boy play all stupid night long." Lauren whined when they'd gotten out of earshot with the poorly paved gravel crunching under their boots. "Oh you're not out of trouble, what the hell was that?" Ann spun on her heels, arms crossed and a look of betrayal on her face.

Cheers from the crowd drowned out Lauren's poor attempt at explaining her friends which Ann didn't actually care about hearing. Setting her hand lightly on the rider's waist, the younger girl's eyes trailed along the curve of her body. Lauren was so stuck on explaining herself that she hardly realised until Ann's thumb ran along her bottom lip. Blinking in surprise, she looked at her trainer who had her eyes glued to her lips rather than her eyes. The grip on her waist lowered and then rose under her shirt, making her shiver at the heat of the contact in the cold air. Ann licked her lips slowly and leaned even closer to Lauren, curling her other hand around her head and under her hair. Not knowing what to say, the rider only tilted her head and pushed the boundary closer, eyes lowering to Ann's lips.

They didn't move, neither of the two girls, until the trainer lifted her knee to the back of Lauren's thigh, forcing her against her. Ann kissed her forcefully, tracing circles with ehr thumbs on the rider's skin until she moaned into her mouth. Lauren's hands lifted around Ann's neck until she could hardly breath, her fingers tangled in the trainer's thick hair. Pulling away quietly, the older girl breathed deeply to regain her heart rate, eyes still held closed. "Holy shit." Ann breathed hoarsely, pressing her forehead to Lauren's and just brushing their lips again, feeling the elder reach for her. "My dorm." The rider mumbled with a rasp, sweeping back her hair as she leaned against the bleachers for balance. "I thought we were going riding." Ann replied more evenly, blowing out a breath of adrenaline as she touched the back of her neck. Lauren breathed deeply as her eyes followed the younger girl shifting around trying to avoid her eyes. "Come on then." She grabbed Ann's hand and intertwined their fingers, forcing herself not to look down or be surprised.

Since the sun was beginning to set and an additional chill coated the campus, no one was at the stable. Lauren pulled a spare winter jacket from her cubby and pulled it over Ann's shoulders from behind. "You're so clingy." The trainer clicked her tongue teasingly, watching Lauren undo the straps to Ducky's blanket. "You think I'm hot, you wanna fuck me." She replied evenly, looking over the gelding at Ann who hid her face in her hands. Even the gelding could feel the tension as soon as his hoof brushed the sawdust to the ring. Turning serious in an instant, Ann hooked her mask over her ears and took a seat on the mounting block. "Dressage course first?" Lauren called with a strain to her voice, bouncing the stirrups on her toes before letting them slide on. Ann nodded without a word, leaning forward with her hands clasped in her lap and eyes squinted in focus. Ducky took a sharp turn, standing still in a square halt as Lauren did the mock salute to Ann at X. From a distance it would look funny but both girls were entirely serious at the motion for the exam to begin.

It wasn't a long course, the entire thing only took the horse and rider five minutes before the final salute. Ann stood, lifting a hand for Lauren to keep Ducky still, she walked around to his left side and lifted a hand behind his eye. The gelding flinched, his tail lashing back and forth as the tug on his reins almost pulled Lauren forward. "Try curving him right." Ann instructed, jumping back as Ducky tilted his head right and leaned away from Lauren's pressure. "This isn't a penalty is it?" The rider asked, opening and closing her fist to relax the gelding to his right and put him even further below the bit. Ann didn't answer, she slowly lifted her hand behind Ducky's left side again and took slow steps to his tail.

He didn't move an inch, the white of his right eye able to trace where the blonde was behind him. "Woah." Lauren's jaw almost fell to the ground as she felt the jumpy horse keep his composure with Ann behind him. "Lauren, Lauren do you see him?" The trainer was twice as excited, leaping back towards the mounting block and clipping the heels of her boots together. "Good boy, that's it Ducky." Lauren patted Ducky's neck until he shook out his mane in pride, both girls laughing hysterically.
