As it came up to the exam, Jade is studying on her bed. Nervous for her test. Ruth sighs as she rolls on her bed with boredom. Rose is listening to music on her bed, staring straight up at the ceiling.
"Jade? What you doing?" Ruth asks looking at Jade with big eyes.
"Studying for the Bluesquard entry exam."
"What's that?" asks Rose who takes out her headphones and looks at Jade with beaming eyes. Jade sighs and swallows to clear her throat.
"It's where you can be a head of the Superkids.You get to go on adventures and it can help you be a Commander in the future."
"Like Commander Missy?" Rose asks.
"Yes exactly like that." Jade gets up and looks at the twins surprised.
"Do you two want to sign up?"
"What do you mean? We haven't been here for a month!" Ruth jumps up making Rose surprised by her twin's reaction.
"Yes you can! Anyone can." Jade says with a smile. She fickles her mind inside but then puts a fake smile on her face...
James walks down the hallway to hear the choir sing. "Not again." James thought as he sighs inside. His brushes his black thorns with his extended fingers and walks into the choir room.
"Hello James!" Commander Missy who is leading the choir. "I heard you are entering the Bluesquard exam." James shakes his head and with a shrug he sits down.
"Take five." Commander Missy to the Choir. They stop, and in that choir is David who looked nervous when he spotted James.
"You okay James?" Commander Missy who sits next to James. She places her hand onto James shoulder, but he shrugs it off. Commander Missy sighs under her breath and looks at hurtful James.
"James, can we talk? What's wrong?" James looks up to Commander Missy and sighs. He lips tense up and become tight, and his eyes glare at her.
"I don't see why I am here. I don't like it here."
"Why don't you like it here?"
"None of you know the facts of life. How hurt people are these days. You all are too happy."
"Is there anything wrong with being happy?" Commander Missy sighs. "In John 8:12 it says; When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' "
"What does that mean?"
"Read the whole chapter." Commander Missy pats James's shoulder and walks away....
