The New Superkids

Chapter 4

Curiously James walked out of the choir wondering about the verse that Commander Missy had said. He sighed as he was curious to find out what she was on about. He walks to his chambers and finds the bible. That he was given at the start of the year on the floor, where he tossed on his first day. He grabs it flicking through the pages...

Clank! Opened up the elevator and out walked Jade, Ruth and Rose. Jade felt proud to lead them to the sign up sheet but annoyed as it is taking up her revision time. She stopped outside the bulletin board where the sign up sheet was full of names on it.
"Sign up." says Jade who points her finger to the board. Ruth grabs the pen that was hooked onto the sheet and writes her name big and wide so everyone could read it even if you were a mile away. Ruth Simpson
"You too Rose."
"What will we have to study?"
"The Bible, do gymnastics etc." Rose and Ruth froze and looked at Jade worriedly.
"We don't know how to do gymnastics." Ruth said.
"I'll teach you."
"Okay." Rose sighed her name. Rose Simpson....

David flicks through his 'How Science Works By Commander Alex' magazine that the Superkids get from Commander Alex. Who used to be in the Bluesquad when he was younger.

David looks confused at the new gadget that had been made as is explains in the magazine.
"I wonder how it all works." David said to himself. He pushes his glasses up his nose and walks over to Commander Alex who was in the science room on the second floor.
"Commander Alex?" Commander Alex takes his scientific goggles off and looks to David with a big smile on his face.
"Hey, David. What you up to?"
"I was reading the magazine and you were explaining the new gadget? How does it work?"
"Well David, it hasn't worked properly yet...So no one knows expect God."
"What does it do?"
"To Detect NME."
"Oh." David smiles as he starts to understand the new technology...

The day came and Jade was excited. Rose was scared and Ruth was nervously happy. They got dressed quickly and raced to the gym room.

David came in with his head in the Bible, he quickly prayed that he would get in. And put his bible in his jacket pocket and fixed his glasses that had fallen down the bridge of his nose.
"Hi David you ready for the test?" asks Commander Alex.
"Yes. I studied a lot."
"Make sure you pray." Commander Alex said smiling.
"I did."
"Then you will be fine. Have faith." Alex walks away as he comforts the other Superkids.
"Alex." Commander Paul came in looking worried. "Have you seen James?"
"You mean James Bristol who came here at the start of the year? No I haven't. Is he okay?"
"I am not sure." Paul walks off looking for James who had disappeared...

James was sat in the worship area of Superkid Academy. For the first time, James was sad for what Jesus had done in his life. He wanted to worship God for all his life from now on. He just didn't know how. He opened up his bible and read Matthew 7:7.

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." He looks up to the ceiling with tears in his eyes. "God...I don't know what to do with my life. I need your help..."
"Just ask." Commander Paul said as he walked into the room and found James praying for the first time. A smile swept across his face.
"How do I do that?"
"You want to give your life to Jesus? The one that dead for your sins?" James nods his head nervously.
"Repeat after me. Dear Lord..."...
