The New Superkids

Chapter 5

Superkids lined up to do the gymnastics part of the test. Jade tied her hair up tight and shook her arms ready to take on what was coming. She was very confident at this part, as she had been doing gymnastics since she could walk.
"You two okay?" Jade asked Ruth and Rose who are behind her.
"Nervous." Rose says with a twinkle in her eye.
"Remember I can do all things through Christ who strengths me." Jade rushes off to do her back flip. She rushes onto the blue mat and twirls hers perfect over each course. Rapper who was watching is smiling, as he heard from God that Jade is one of them...

David gets ready to do his exam in the hall. He pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose and breaths in deeply.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengths me." He whispers to himself. He goes into the hall, sits down at the seat with his name in big writing. David Maxwell

"Take your seats Superkids." Commander Alex says at the front of the room.
"Now type your name to your Tech-Traggle Writer." David does as he was told, typing in each letter of his name on the keys.

"You begin now." Alex says at the nervous Superkids with a nod.

Question 1:
When the expression 14m - 6k - 5m + 3k + 4k is simplified, it becomes:

9m + k

9m + 13k

19m - 7k

David looks at the numbers and swirls them around in his mind. Figuring out the combination. Commander Alex is walking around so he can check no one is cheating.
"Alex, you are one of my sheep. David is one of them." Alex keeps himself quiet as he smiles inside...

"Do you feel much better?" Commander Paul asked.
"Paul, you have found of them."
"Really God?" Paul says out loud.
"What?" James looks confused at Commander Paul.
"Do you feel much better?" He repeats to James so he doesn't know.
"Yes I do." James does smiling.
"Do you want to take the test now?"
"I haven't revised!" James says.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengths me."....

The anxious Superkids seat in the lunch all looking at the Commanders in front of the Superkids. Daniel Lyon was there too, still in his Motor Bike gear which he was riding round in a minute ago.
"Kids. You all did very well today. God told us straight away who would be in the new Bluesquad team. However for everyone who didn't get in. God is trying to tell you that he has something bigger planned in your life..." Daniel pauses and smiles. "Let's pray." He grabs Commander Kellie and Commander Paul's hand and bows his head.
"Dear Father in Heaven. I pray in the name of Jesus that you show everyone of these Superkids what you have in store for them. I thank you for showing us our future at Superkid Academy, Amen!"
"Amen!" The Superkids shout.

"Now, today. God showed us who is going to be in the Bluesquad." Commander Kellie says.
"Just like us old Bluesquad." Commander Valerie starts off. "We too were sitting where you are now...well in old Superkid Academy. And too didn't know how much it changed our lives."
"And we hope that the new Superkids, teach people about God and send people to God." Rapper says.
"Let's get on with it." Commander Missy says.
"Right the sheet is going up outside, on the Board." Commander Kellie says...

Superkids from all ages, rush to the board. Some jumping over each other. David pushes himself through, as he is small he could fit through thin gaps.
He peers up to the board and sees the names.
James Bristol
Jade Flintshire
David Maxwell
Rose Simpson
Ruth Simpson
A big smile overwhelms his face.

James sees his name and he can't believe it. His eyes shine and he has a big smile on his face.

Jade sees her name and she jumps up and down and screams.
"I got in!" She was so excited, trying for five years to get in. Studying for five years, waiting till they say that you could sign up for the test. All for this moment.

Rose's smile is big and glowing. Her eyes twinkle and she wants to scream just like Jade is doing now. But she doesn't know if she is going to embarrass herself or not so she stands there smiling.

Her sister, Ruth is clapping her hands and a big smile is on her face. She twirls a bit of her dirty Blonde hair round her finger.
