Yalena walked thru the crowd sending head nods and clearly fake smiles to celebs who complimented her and her performance.

She didn't have many Musician friends since Mose judged her due to her lack of partner. Lots of the people she came across tonight had given her astonished looks while telling her how surprised they were by not only her success but performance in general. You know all there backhanded comments and fake love. 

she never  once tried to hide her annoyance and made sure people ion the receiving end knew that her smile was fake. 

So you could only imagine how she felt at the after party. She only came to show her face and leave as her wonderfullllll manager (lia) said she didn't need to stay the whole time

as these events were mostly for artist to get together and mingle, perhaps talking about working together in the future... you know, networking. 

except Yalena had no interest in doing so and Lia didn't blame her one bit. anyone in her position wouldn't want to work with these people so why should she make Yalena. 

she had pretty much gotten thru her rounds of heys and fake smiles and was leaving when she heard her name being called out by some of her actual friends. Normani & Megan Thee Stallion.

She walked over and for the first time tonight her face held a genuine smile. What she didn't notice however, were the seven men standing next to her friends. Drinks in their hands looking at her with longing gazes. 

Mani: HEY GURLLL!!! YOU DID SO GOOD TONIGHT!!!!

Meg: yea you really made me want to get up and dance. 

Yalena laughed at them

"𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐞"

she said 

Meg: Yea I know what you mean. sometimes you just hit the stage and everything locks in. 

Mani: I didn't expect to see you here at the after party tho! that was shocking 

" 𝐘𝐞𝐚 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭. 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠."

Meg: well we were just about to head out too! going to treat these talented men to something to eat. You know welcome them into the American industry. since everyone else is just standing around eyeing them. 

Yalena nodded her head before sending a slight wave to the men. She took note of how they looked a bit star stroked . she knew mani and meg were the right people to help them settle their nervousness.  They'd take good care of the boys.

"𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞! 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭!!"

she went to walk away but Normani grabbed her arm pulling her back.

Mani: You should come too! you deserve it... It'll be like a celebration slash welcoming party

Yalena stood thinking about her offer, not knowing that the boys stood sweating hoping that she'd agree. They all let out a sigh as they saw her slowly nod her head. 

"𝐎𝐤𝐚𝐲, 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?? 𝐓𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐦𝐞"

she said softly while walking away.

a little celebration couldn't hurt right??? ........... 

sorry for the short chapters, I don't really want to drag the build up too long so..... yea.
