Katsuki walked into the flat and marveled at the interior design that seemed to be suited to his taste. With spicy cinnamon candles lit in the living room and Izuku's color scheme littering the space. It smelled of him. His love. His Master. No other person polluting the air with their existence. A place just for them.

Izuku walked towards the plush couch and sat in the middle, spreading his thighs out so that there was space between his legs. "Come sit Katsuki."

The blonde boy stepped forward on instinct, allowing himself to be guided by his subconscious instead of over-thinking his Master's orders. There was no need to be ashamed or embarrassed, this was their space, he was safe.

Katsuki went to sit next to his beloved, with the little space left on the couch edges it looked to be an uncomfortable position, however before he could place himself between the arm rest and Izuku's leg, he was reprimanded with a gentle shove on the stomach.

"Come now Kacchan, you know better than that. Or has our time apart made you a feral stray?" Izuku chuckled deeply as he raised his gaze to lock with red sapphire eyes.

Those eyes glanced down, between the spread out legs, and to the soft looking rug that lay on the hardwood floor. With a slight whimper for forgetting his place, Katsuki sank down onto his knees and rested his head on a muscular thigh.

"Much better, isn't that comfy?" He looked up to follow the alluring voice calling out to him. A small nod was all that was required for an answer, and the response was rewarded with a head scratch that continued on as a calming massage.

Soft noises left the submissive's throat as his mind drifted back to middle school.

--

"Learn your place Kacchan, why do you always do things that ruin our relationship?!" The ragged breath that left both of their bodies intertwined with the close proximity Deku held him at.

Bruised and tired, Katsuki's defenses relied on aggression and witty remarks. "What would you know, you stupid nerd?! I know my place, it's far above a useless, quirkless, nobody like you! I don't need to be told off by someone like that!"

The greenette chuckled as he pulled in the other boy tighter by his throat, "Oh yea? This quirkless nobody who beat you and all of your little henchmen? Why do you hate me so? What have I ever done except respect and admire you? Can't you get it through your thick skull that I love you, you stupidly dense and cruel motherfucker?!"

The words were yelled at his face, but the volume didn't affect him, he was caught up by the fact that his childhood friend had cursed, he had never heard a profanity slip from this boy's mouth, and furthermore it was aimed at him. He was in such shock that the other words that were spat out didn't register, and he went numb.

Katsuki wasn't responding, so Izuku slowly released his grip and led them both over to the swings, setting the blond down in one and taking the swing next to him. What have I done? I just confessed in the worst way possible. It's true that I have been feeling something for this rude loud mouth, but I didn't want to put it into words yet! Now he's gonna leave for real, abandon me for being a homo freak. I have to appolo-

Izuku fell out of his mumbling when he felt a rough hand shove him sideways on the swing, it wasn't a hard shove, more like a 'snap out of it' push. "You cursed," came a hushed voice next to him.

The smaller boy's gaze snapped to the blonde and after a minute of silence, broke out into giggles. "That's all you caught from that Kacchan?" The other's face tilted in confusion, and his stare became dumbfounded.

"What else was there?" He replied. The greenette couldn't stop his giggles, which soon turned into full laughter.

"Well since I already said it, might as well come out with it. Pay attention this time, Kacchan." He chuckled as he threw a look at the blond's irritated face. "I'm bisexual. I like girls and boys."

The frown became more prominent on the other's face, save for a split moment after the words came out of his mouth.

""What does that have to do with me? So you like a girl? Or a boy? So what? Do I know them? Are you asking for permission or something?" Katsuki became anxious with the prospect of Izuku liking both genders. Could it be that he had a thing for him? Looking back, that was an absurd thought, of course Izuku wouldn't like him, after all, he was his bully.

"Well yes, I am asking for permission," Katsuki's mind flashed back to the pink love letter he had seen fall out of Deku's locker. He would choose that person and Katsuki would be left yearning for something that could have been had he been nicer, different.

"How do you feel about me Kacchan?" The blond looked up, desperation, sadness, and want in his eyes.

"Tsk, why would you care? I'm just a monster. Cruel and unworthy of your friendship." The explosions were building up, but this time, they weren't in his palms. He felt them behind his eyes, in his tear ducts, invading his throat, making his brain fuzzy with emotion. He would not cry, not in front of the boy of his affections. He would be forgotten like the snow melts into the ground and makes way for spring. Replaced with a blossom where his dead branches once stood.

"Hey, hey, look at me," a gentle voice rang through the clouds in his ears. His face refused to lift, knowing that the moment he met those vibrant, forgiving eyes he would break. Crumble like a distant memory.

Smooth hands reached out and took hold of his face, tilting it up. Tears welled up in his eyes, now rimmed red. Delicate fingers, now covered in calluses and scars, soothed his flushed cheeks, embarrassed at the emotions he was feeling and the moisture that threatened to leak out. He did not deserve to feel like this.

"I could never hate you. You are not a monster, and although you had some rough times, you acknowledged your mistake and are trying to change, that is all I can ask for." He heard be spoken by that voice. The voice he had always known, the voice he wanted to monopolize and hear every second of the day.

His eyes slowly focused once more on that lovable face painted with freckles. "I love you Kacchan, would I have your permission to date you?" Those words took the breath from his lungs. He felt like he was falling, a blissful adrenaline filling his senses as the words took hold of his heart.

"I-I like you too. I thought you would leave me. I'm not worthy of you."

"I'm the one who gets to decide that, and in my heart you are more than what I could ask for."

The two embraced there on the swings and from then on, love blossomed where the cold winter of the past was left behind. And they knew they would be alright.

--

Katsuki looked up realizing he had drifted off for a nap, his knees twinged with exhaustion from being held in position for so long, but his mind was filled with a sweet fog and the rest of him was comfortable in the heat that surrounded him.

Izuku looked down from his book, and the gentle head scratches slowed to a stop. He smiled down at his pet and uttered the words Katsuki needed to hear most.

"I love you Kacchan."
