"What is that?" Erica asks.

"There's something in there," Mike says.

"No!" El cries out.

"Jesus Christ," Dustin remarks.

"Keep her talking. Keep her awake, okay?" Jonathan tells us.

He runs away in an attempt to find supplies I assume.

"Hey, hey, hey. Stay awake, stay awake," Mike tells El. "Let's get her on this side, on this side."

I help Nancy move El.

"It's, uh... You know, it's not actually that bad," Robin offers. "There was a... The goalie on my soccer team, Beth Wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg, and the bone came out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane."

"Robin," Steve says.

"Yeah?" Robin asks.

"You're not helping," Steve tells her.

"I'm sorry," Robin says.

Jonathan comes back with a knife in hand. "Okay. All right, El? This is gonna hurt like hell, okay?"

El sobs. "Okay."

"Need you to stay real still." Jonathan hands a spoon to Mike. "Here, you're gonna want to bite down on this, okay?"

"Jesus Christ," Dustin remarks.

"Do it," Mike tells Jonathan.

"Okay," Jonathan says.

He starts to cut the skin on Eleven's leg, and she screams out in pain. Jonathan takes a breath before sticking two of his fingers into the cut. El screams even louder this time.

"Jonathan!" Nancy shouts.

"Stop talking!" Jonathan tells her. He tries to grab hold of whatever is in El's leg. "God damnit!"

"No! Stop it!" El screams. "Stop! Stop!" El sobs as she sits up. "I can do it. I can do it."

She uses her powers to pull whatever it is out of her leg. She screams the whole time. Suddenly the window front behind us shatters. El pulls a slug looking thing out of her leg before throwing it far away from us. It tries to crawl away, but it doesn't get very far. Hopper steps on it.

Hopper isn't alone; he's with Joyce and Murray of all people. We get together to regroup. Apparently, we've all been pretty busy the past few days.

"The Mind Flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins," Dustin explains. "To stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world."

"And it almost did. That was just one tiny piece of it," Nancy says.

"How big is this thing?" Hopper asks.

"It's big," Jonathan says. "Thirty feet, at least."

"Yeah. It sorta destroyed your cabin," Lucas tells Hopper. "Sorry."

"Okay, so, just to be clear, this... this big fleshy spider thing that hurt El, it's some kind of gigantic... weapon?" Steve asks.

"Yes," Nancy says.

"But instead of, like, screws and metal, the Mind Flayer made its weapon... with melted people," Steve says.

"Yes, exactly," Nancy tells him.

"Yeah, okay." Steve shrugs. "I... Yeah, I'm just making sure."

"Are we sure this thing is still out there, still alive?" Joyce asks.

"El beat the shit out of it, but, yeah, it's still alive," Max tells her.

"But if we close the gate again..." Will starts.
