In your eyes
Am I beauty?
In silence
Am I comforting?
In the crowd
Am I distinct?
Am I the warmth in your mornings
The heat in your nights?
Am I who you lean on
Who you protect in your arms?
Am I the hope in your turmoil
The dynamic in your ennui?
You are all of this to me
And so much more
And I don't dare know if I am any of this to you
Because I cannot bear to be anything less
And I will suffer to be anything more
