Noceda Mansion, Monday 7:30am.
"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!"
This was the alarm of a 24yr old Luz Noceda who grumbled before lazily raising up her hand and slapping it on her phone silencing it.
Luz: Ugh, why did I make THAT my alarm?!
She checks the time and sees it's 7:30am, so she slips out of bed and trudges into her bathroom to get herself ready for the day. After her usual routine, she proceeds to make her way down the stairs and right on schedule, she finds her twin sister, Vee & her adopted brother, Hunter having breakfast and her mom in the kitchen.
She takes a deep breath and joins them at the table.
Luz: Buenos días mama!
She calls out to her mother who answers back.
Luz: Morning Vee, Morning popo.
She says as she ruffles Hunter's hair causing him to grumble.
Hunter: Again I'm an FBI agent not a police officer.
Luz: I know but it annoys you, so I'mma keep saying it.
She says as she sits to eat her breakfast, and after everyone was done, the three each raised up 3 fingers and started counting down to 1. And as they reached 1, as if right on cue, their mom walked in.
Camila: Luz Mija, I was thinking you could accompany me to the firm today.
The 3 siblings gave each other deadpanned expressions as this was something that usually happens every morning.
Luz: Oo sorry mama, I have a meeting today, I can't make it.
Camila frowns before responding.
Camila: You can reschedule it, you haven't been to the firm in the past month, the staff are beginning to forget what you look like.
Luz: You're kidding right? Vee is my twin sister, I look exactly like her except with better hair.
Vee: Hey!
Hunter: She has a point.
Camila: I'm sorry Luz, but my decision is final.
Luz: But that's not fair!
Camila: Sorry Mija, you live under my roof, you live under my rules.
Luz: Come on! I've been wanting to move out since I was 19! I've asked you 20 times and you always say no.
Camila: That's because the only way I'm letting you move out, is if you take over the company or you get married.
She says as she walks to her room leaving Luz frustrated.
Luz: Ugh! She's impossible, I can't even breathe without her watching my every move.
Hunter: Well, you gotta do something drastic to let her know she's taking it too far.
Luz: What do you mean?
Luz asks with genuine curiosity.
Hunter: Well, remember when mum was on my case about not joining the FBI, I pretended I went missing and lived in Willow's basement until she gave in.
Vee: Yeah, and remember when we went to college and mum bought a house right next to campus, just so she could keep an eye on us?
Luz: Ugh! Please don't remind me of that. It was so embarrassing!
