Chapter 3
After that breakfast, we went to the park. Marko just played on the slides and monkey bars and he said he's already tired.
"Let's go to the mall, Mom. Is that okay Uncle Zach? Aren't you tired yet?" Marko asked Zach.
"Okay. Let's go the mall." Zach said gracefully and we went to his car and he drove off to the mall.
Every time that we do this, all I imagine is me, Mark and our son. I always imagined him as a great father and husband. I imagined what will be Marko's reaction if he finally meets his dad.
We dine in a restaurant. I don't know. Maybe they're hungry already. We ordered our foods and waited for it.
"Mom, can I go to the comfort room?" Marko said.
"Of course, honey. Come, I'll come with you?" I said and got upp from my seat.
"NO!! I'm already a big boy,Mom! And you can't enter the men's room." He said and he ran to the men's room.
"Your baby's growing fast. He's really smart." Zach said and look on the direction where Marko went.
"Yes. I know. He's really smart like his fath-.." I stop before I said the word "father". Zach knows what my past is but he doesn't know my husband's name. I didn't told him.
"Don't you think he feeds a father? I can be, you know. If you'll just let me court you.." He said. I know that his intentions are pure and good. I know that he can be a good father.
"But.. What if your parents disapproves our relationship because I have a kid already? What if..?" I said. I was unsure.
"Sofia, you know my parent they're kind. They like you and Marko. And whether you like it or not, I'm going to court you. Is that okay?" Zach said and but he look scared. I laughed.
"Why are you asking if its okay? You said that you will court me even though I don't like it, right?" I said while laughing. Zach's cheeks turned red. He looks cute.
"Because, you know, I respect your decision."
"Okay. Let's ask Marko." I said even though I already decided to allow him because I know he's a good guy.
"Let me go check to men's room. Marko's taking so long." He said and I nodded. He went to the men's room.
I think it's not a bad thing to give him a chance. I know I said before that my heart will always belongs to Mark but I want my son to be happy. I want him to have a father, and since Zach offered, I'll give it a try.
I also wanted to give my self a chance to be happy again. I know, it sounds selfish but I really want to be happy.
I met Zach's parents already and they love me and Marko. His mother, Margareth loves kids and he never treated me as any other person. She even treated me as a daughter since she only have sons, Zach and Pierre.
Zach's father treats me like a family also because he thinks that I influenced Zach in a good way. They always invites us for a dinner and we always come when we have time.
Sometimes, they even said that they would love me to be their daughter-in-law but I just take it as a joke because I don't know if they're serious or what.
I am thankful because they help me in adjusting and coping here in Boston. I owe them everything and I love them as my own family as well.
I saw Zach And Marko walking to our table. Zach was whispering something to my son's ear and I saw my son smiled widely.
"Mom please give Uncle Zach a chance. He promised me that he won't hurt you and I know that he will never lie to me so I believed and trust him. I also want a father. Please, Mommy?" He said and give me the cutest puppy-eye look.
"Okay, baby. I will give him a chance. Happy now?" I said while looking to Zach who high fived my son.
"Thank you. I will give my best to prove you my love." He said and took my hand and kiss my knuckles.
Our orders arrived and we ate. Marko's talking about how he wanted to be in a school so much. He's only 3 years old and I haven't enrolled him on a school because he's still young.
"And I met this man on the men's room mom. He looks successful and kind. He ask my name and I said it because he said he's name too. I will never forget it. It was Mike Angelo San Miguel, mom. But he's in a hurry and left already." Marko said and I choked on my food.
Zach immediately give me water and pat my back. I was shocked. Why is he here? Does he knows about Marko?
Why is Mark's father here?
