Maya

"Are you sure you want to go back?" Bella asked me as she watched me pack my stuff. I huffed out a breath and nodded my head. "It's been three weeks. I think I'm ready to live alone again."

Bella looked unsure and I knew she didn't want me to leave but I didn't want to be a burden anymore. I know she doesn't have a problem with me staying, but I know there are times when you need privacy.

Especially Jason and Bella, they barely had a minute to themselves.

"But if something happens, you call me, right And then we will pack your stuff again and you come back," she quickly said. I chuckled and nodded my head. "I will, thank you."

I walked up to her and hugged her. "Thanks for helping me munchkin. I really appreciate it."

"No worries chipmunk, I'm always here."

I packed the rest of my stuff and drove back to my apartment. I sighed as I closed my door and leaned my back against it.

I closed my eyes and thought for a second if this was the right decision. I haven't been here for a while, too scared to live alone.

Nevertheless, I unpacked my stuff and immediately went to take a shower.

After I was done, I got out and changed into comfortable clothes. I was ready to fall asleep but my phone went off.

I furrowed my eyebrows and waited till it stopped.

My heart dropped as soon as I saw the text messages.

Be careful, Maya. Flames sometimes turn to fires.

I watched him flirting with you for too long. Now it has to stop.

You moved back into your old house. Now, I can be close to you again, princess.

I stopped reading and threw my phone away. I was not in the mood to deal with this.

Jealousy has always been one of my worst traits. While normal couples would talk the problem out, I did nothing but fight.

All the terrible memories flashed back but the anger I'm feeling right now is nothing compared to those in the past.

My hands clenched around the steering wheel as I sat outside of a gym, waiting for Paul to come out. I wasn't sure how to handle him now, but I know that he needs to get out of the picture. I need to show him who Maya belongs to. He needs to put his filthy hands away from my girl.

There were only two options, and both were very risky. I could kill him, but that would be way too obvious or I could grab him and let him rot in my basement.
