"It can't be" Villanelle uttered while holding the postcard.
Eve just stared at her motionless.
"It just can't be" she tried to convince herself by repeating it.
"I mean" Eve finally started speaking. "It's been dealt with, right? The Twelve, they were on the boat and you slaughtered them" she looked at her, trying to find some meaning in what was happening.
Sushi being forgotten, Villanelle rushed to her laptop, hoping she still had the access to the Twelve database. The one she used to decrypt the code written on the top right corner of the postcard. Surprisingly she could still access it. Typing in the code, she was soon brought to a page where no picture was shown, only an address. And it wasn't that far from there.
"Where are you going?" Eve moved quickly, trying to stop the woman who by then was making her way towards the door.
"Trying to find out what the fuck is going on" the blond said between clenched teeth.
"So you just go and run towards who knows what?" the brunette said.
"What's your suggestion?"
"Villanelle" she sighed, "We don't know who sent this. You don't know why they sent this. What if it's a trap?"
"You are right" she said, making Eve sigh in relief. Relief that was soon turned into anxiety as Villanelle continued "I need guns"
"We"
"Huh?"
"We need guns" Eve said, "Since I can't argue with that, I might just as well participate in the suicide"
Villanelle was taken aback, but also amused. She smiled, "It's going to be alright. I only want to see the place, just a scope out. The guns are just in case. Then we come back and we will move from there. We are more prepared now"
Eve hoped she was right. She couldn't risk losing her again, and surely not for good.

It was easy for Villanelle to find the weapons dealer. Having worked with Konstantin for that long gave her some sort of insights in the life of a handler. The freelance work they have been doing together gave Konstantin the freedom to look for his own dealers, and that came in handy, in case the Twelve or someone who was still linked to them was still around. And that included Carolyn.
As she carefully eyed the weapons, opted for a small knife: always good for a one-vs-one fight, and two semiautomatic 22 pocket pistols. Eve gave her a side look, recognizing the weapon Villanelle used in Rome to shoot her.
"Oh, come on" Villanelle rolled her eyes. "You stabbed me" she said pulling up the knife, and smirked.
But Villanelle needed something more, so she kept walking about while Eve followed around the hidden room that was in the back of what looked like a innocent souvenirs shop. "What are those for?" she asked when she saw Villanelle grab some wigs.

"Perfect!" she held a laugh as she saw Eve stand in front of her, in the living room, wearing a blond short-haired wig. They were back at the apartment to get ready. "Now you need a name"
"A name?"
"Did you forget how I used to work?"
"Oh" Eve uttered. "Sandra"
"Sandra?"
"What? I have never done this!"
"Can you do accents?"
Eve gave her a poker face.
"Okay, too much"

They left after a few minutes, after working on some kind of backup story. They would have played the roles of two American tourists visiting London. Villanelle had a look at the surroundings that were near the address she collected earlier, and there were many bars and restaurants. They needed to act like normal people, doing normal stuff.
"Remind me again why am I doing this?" Eve said, sitting in the front seat of the Volvo Villanelle loaned.
"To find out who shot me in the ass" the woman replied with a serious look, making Eve laugh. "Stop doing that!" she added, as she saw the brunette fight with her wig and fondling with the huge sunglasses that Villanelle forced her to wear. "You will ruin your look"
"It itches!"
"Shhh!" Villanelle urged. "We are finally here" the address in fact brought them to a some sort of snack bar. But knowing this kind of things, there probably was some hidden room, or entrance, somewhere.
Both women exited the car and made their way towards the bar. "Remember, we are on our honeymoon, I expect you to be super very clingy" Villanelle teased.
