With one last glance at the horrid and disease ridden room, you started your descent into the next chamber.

It felt as if the temperature was only lowering as you crept down an arduous and dim hallway, there began a constant shaking of the architecture around you and the ivy lined walls shook with it. The unpredictable trembling knocked you unsteady a few times if unprepared for it.

Pieces of ceiling and debris salted the floor with each jitter, it seemed to get more frequent as the trek continued. It was until you rounded a corner you eventually stopped. Beyond that was unknown for it was too dark to see anything else.

You reached for your flashlight, when it was quickly made obvious that you must've left it in the previous chamber, evidently forgetting about it once you had the crowbar. You squeezed the tool in frustration, before having no other choice but to return. It was starting to feel like one step forward and three steps back in this labyrinth of sorts.

Though, fortunately for you, the rumbling had come to a halt as you made your way back. It's as if the universe had finally begun listening to your prayers. Having higher hopes than the average person should in a situation as such, you were hoping after gathering your light, you'd finally begin the search for a way out, there must be another elevator or ladder, or even a staircase of some sort down that hallway. You were going to make sure of it.

And perhaps that could've been the case if the entire floor hadn't started crumbling away. Suddenly the walls and ground beneath your feet gave away, caving into another deep chasm below. You fell to the tile, scrambling away as a great sinkhole opened up. Ceiling panels began to loudly collapse around you, sliding into the pit below.

The floor continued shaking as you clawed yourself away from the newly sunken trench. Using the crowbar to link onto a metal beam, pulling yourself towards it with newfound strength.

You turn onto your back, laying there for a moment, the eerie lights still trembling and flickering above you, not necessarily helping the situation all that much. You struggle to breathe as you're clasping your chest in fear. It's as if you were just meant to keep racking up near death points, by the end of this, you feared you'd have too many to count.

Sitting up slowly, your body trembled along with the walls. You just wanted to curl up and pretend to be somewhere else, all you desired was to run away from it all. Everything was already too much to handle. You've only been down here for a few hours and yet... This had to be only the beginning. You desperately wanted to treat your circumstance as something positive, such as an adventure. However, in times like these, it proved difficult, close to impossible.

You gathered your thoughts, though only barely, and picked yourself back up again, deciding to press on. There were very limited choices at this point, and if fighting was one of them, you'd choose that.

Leaning down, you seized the crowbar, still sitting by the beam. You turned back around just to glare into the dark abyss that opened up right before your very eyes. It looked quite deep, not like you necessarily planned to find out though.

On the saunter back to the pitch black hallway, you attempt to figure out how you'll traverse it despite lack of sight. Without a light source, you would be very limited with both where you could go and what you could or couldn't see. It was risky for many reasons, all you could hope for now was the ground to stay in place.

Eventually you made it back, weapon in hand, you slowly take a long glance around the corner. Something was different this time, however. There was a very visible light source. Immediately, you were caught off guard, for that couldn't have been there last time you visited.

You watched cautiously from afar with a clenched jaw, the source was steady and unmoving. You began wondering if that massive earthquake of kinds caused the electric to boot up again in some parts, you took a small step forward out of wary curiosity.

The scrap crunched underneath your feet as you walked closer, you look down for a moment, noticing the glass pieces scattered amongst the dim ground. Causally taking note of the smashed windows beside you, it seemed the shards on the ground belonged to an office like space. Inside the small room seemed relatively empty otherwise, however.

As you inspected your surroundings you failed to notice the illumination as it moved about freely, jotting from place to place, then suddenly your vision became completely obstructed. You instinctively shield your eyes from the blinding light. You hadn't witnessed something that bright since seeing the sun, not even your flashlight compared to it.

"You've got to be positively joking with me. Yeah? Is that what this is? -Some sick joke?"

That was all you needed to hear before you backed off slowly, holding the crowbar steady at your side, while your other hand still protected your vision. "Who's there?" You asked promptly.

"Only a robot with the world's worst job. Augh! Are you really the only reason I came all the way down here?"

Several questions already settled within your mind, with the main one being; "Did you just say you're a robot?" You asked, although your question soon went unanswered as the light left your figure and soon the entire room became as dark as you once found it.

You watched as the only source of light swiveled around another corner at the end of the corridor. You hesitated for only a moment but were quick to follow behind it without a another thought, this could be your only chance to getting around this place. And you still had questions that desperately needed answers.
