"what's up!!" i greeted eunji, in such a good mood on a early saturday. "hey" she had this face.. one that looked off. "is something wrong?" i asked, feeling like she wasn't in the best mood. "hm? oh i'm fine pshhhh are you fine?"

i squinted at her since i had this gut feeling something didn't feel right. "where are we going anyways? have you and yuta decided?" yuta looked over at eunji with panic. "oh! yeah you'll see.. it's a surprise!" she nodded. i responded with a simple okay. she pulled out of the apartment complex while we listening to yutas playlist. i lowered my window letting the chilly breeze brush against my face.

tunes filled our ears as we drove to wherever her surprise was. the drive took about 15 minutes to arrive at... wait. why are we here. "why are we at sichengs house." i looked over at eun. "oh uh.. yuta wanted to hangout with his bestfriend! plus sicheng is fun.. haha.."

"oh.. okay! let's go." i gave a small smile, feeling like something was definitely off. we knocked on the front door and waited for a hot minute. "um... alright..."
"my fault, we're you waiting for long?" sicheng asked as he moved out the way to let us inside the house. "uh not too long it's fine." i responded as me and eunji stepped inside the doorway. almost immediately my eyes locked with lee taeyong.

"eunji." i turned to look at her. she looked back at me giving a sorry expression. i knew something was off.. eunji, really? i walked behind winwin and eunji ignoring taeyongs obvious stare. "what's the plan?" i asked as we headed towards the couch where everyone was sitting. "a barbecue, more people are coming by the way.. not just us" yuta said brightly, rubbing the back of my shoulders. a slight smile grew on my face, remembering the times i spent with my brother and his friends.

"we were gonna set up but we were waiting for everyone.." winwin said looking over at me as me and eunji nodded. "we're back bitches!!!" a loud voice yelled at the front door. "nari!!!" eunji jumped up from the couch as i watched everything unfold. "yo ten" jaehyun said as the rest of the members stood. "how was thailand?" haechan asked. "it was— wait.. who are you?"

again, all eyes were on me . "my bestie!! introduce yourself!". "im lee nabi" i said looking at both ten and nari. "lee nabi?.." ten said under his breath "huh?"
"nabi!! your so cute!!" nari exclaimed with a wide smile making me blush slightly, she was so hot.
"well that's all cute but we need to get everything ready" taeyong said looking at me directly with his shitty handsome face.

"umm alright i just got here tea, you can wait." i smiled i like her already. "johnnys taking too long let's just go" doyoung said since he was already getting impatient. "alright that's fine with me." sicheng shrugged "eunji can you go get the drinks and cups ready, i'm gonna start the grill" yuta asked with a soft smile how cute are they i smiled looking over at eun who agreed. "let's go" she said to me and nari as ten left with the other guys.

as we entered the kitchen, my mind began to think about how rude taeyong is. "so nabi. where are you from" nari asked sitting on the counter swinging her legs she's so fine what the hell "korea, but since my dad owns a business we moved to new york after my younger brother was born." i explained while i helped eunji set up. "new york?! like the prettiest city?" she gasped. "it's not as pretty when you lived there for half of your life." i laughed, placing the drinks next to the cups.

"well for you living in new york your korean is really good" she complimented. "thanks, i only spoke korean in my house since my moms english isn't the best.. it's mostly my father who is good.." just thinking about my father made my blood boil. "alright i think we're done here.." eunji said looking around the kitchen to make sure she got everything right. "oh nari your back" a tall male said as he walked into the kitchen. "how was the trip?" johnny asked.
"it's a lot. anyways— woah another new person?! i love it. who is this?" nari hopped of the counter and walked up to the shorter girl.

"hi im mui yamashita.. daughter of-" she stopped herself remembering what johnny told her early about eunji and nabi. "mui? i heard about you. your like a model in japan right?" nari asked with a slight grin on her face admiring her beauty. "yeah of course.. what do you do over here? well in korea-"
"sorry to interrupt but can we talk outside mui?" johnny said as she just shrugged "yeah go ahead.. i'll follow" mui looked up at johnny as he nodded.

"what's his deal?" nari asked mui. "oh. right let's go outside i still have to tell the rest." mui said smiling at all of us. we followed outside and almost immediately the smell of grilled food and weed filled out noses. "smells good out here" nari said looking at everyone around the backyard. "winwins house is so pretty, i didn't pay attention the first time i was here" i said, looking at the garden and the huge pool. "yeah, i heard about that party." nari said looking at me "yeah.. it was interesting." i laughed awkwardly as we stood there. "so why are we just standing again?" eun asked as we all just laughed.

just like that we all connected. we all walked to seats as we continued our conversation. "about johnny. don't tell anyone yet but.. he's my fiancée—" gasp! naris eyes went wide. "johnny!!" she almost yelled. eunji and nari looked at eachother then looked at mui. "before you jump to conclusions. no he didn't propose, it's arranged.. and not gonna lie he's kind of a dick about it." mui said as we all leaned closer acting like a group of teenage girls gossiping. "yeah, i mean of course he is oddly very beautiful but he basically talks to me like a robot and acts like i'm some higher up ceo."

"who would be mean to someone like you! you are obviously a nice girl" i said smiling as mui thanked me. "i don't know. i guess he doesn't like me." as she said that her smile turned into a frown making us empathize with the girl. what i jerk treating this girl that i just met like nothing. "listen, he probably is figuring out he feels. don't stress it." nari said with a reassuring smile. "thanks. even though we just met.. let's all talk sometime later together more."

"more people?" mui asked looking over as way more people began to walk to the back. "and johnnys not a DJ? odd" nari said confused. "oh where were you?" i asked looking at her since i heard she went on a trip. "oh thailand. it was a good trip. i went with ten since we had some business to do" nari slightly giggled at the end, you could tell she was nervous. i nodded, understanding that this trip was most likely for a serious job.

"are you with ten?" i bluntly asked as mui seemed interested too. eun and nari bursted out laughing "no way!! never! he's my bestfriend. i would never date him." nari laughed out. "oh my bad! im sorry"
