Day 1 - Silas rocketed awake in the middle of the night with his heart pounding violently in his chest so much so he thought it might explode. He was covered in sticky cold sweat and felt absolutely sick to his stomach, Silas quickly got up and ran to the sick to splash cold water in his face but the room quickly started to spin and sway until Silas had to lay himself down on the freezing cold linoleum floor. Though he was cold, Silas still felt like he was burning from the inside out. It felt like he had the flu and was hungover at the same time. Just then Jennifer came in to check on him, seeing that a patient was out of bed at such a late hour to find Silas ridged on the floor.
"Code blue in room 100. Hello, can you hear me?" She asked while flashing a light into Silas' eyes, he desperately wanted to ask for help and tell her everything he was feeling but he couldn't get his mouth to move, he couldn't get anything to move no matter how hard he tried. "Can you tell me your name? Code blue room 100 I need help in here now." Silas just laid there eyes wide trying to do anything but he couldn't move his entire body was tense to the point that if someone picked him up he would stay in a straight board position. Jennifer came running in with a cart to check his vitals which were not looking great.
"His heart rate is 190 and his oxygen levels are at 62%. Silas, it's going to be okay, can you hear me?" All he could do was look at her with pleading eyes that longed for this hell to end. "Okay I'm going to inject you with this okay? It'll help you relax, you'll feel a tiny pinch but then you'll feel better. Get that oxygen ready when his body relaxes."
"Ready." Jennifer injected a small syringe full of medication and a few seconds later Silas finally felt peace as his entire body finally let him go. The orderly quickly put the oxygen mask over his nose and mouth as he slowly lost consciousness.
"His heart rate is finally slowing down."
"Good, check his hands and neck for a rash."
"He's clean."
"Thank god, we can put him back in bed and monitor him until morning then I'll get him something to better help the side effects." Dr. Matthews picked Silas up carefully then put him in his bed while Jennifer pulled a chair up next to his bed.

Silas woke up a few hours later with an IV and a clean change of clothes.
"Hey there, how are you feeling?" Jennifer greeted Silas with a smile before she took his vitals.
"Better, what happened to me?"
"It was just a reaction to the medication, I adjusted the dosage so you should be fine now." Dr. Matthews said while handing Silas a small paper cup with four pills in it.
"What's that one?" He asked while pointing at the smallest pill, it was one Silas didn't recognize.
"That's for nausea, I figured you might need it."
"Thank you."
"Of course. Would you mind if we play a game while we eat and talk?" Dr. Matthews helped Silas out of bed and to the table.
"Sure."
"Do you know how to play dots and boxes?" Dr. Matthews asked while grabbing a sheet of paper from the shelf.
"Yeah I think so, my mom and I used to play it at restaurants when I was little."
"Really? What else do you remember?"
"Not too much, just a few things about my mom." He shook his head softly.
"What have you remembered about her?" Jennifer asked.
"We're close, really close. Why can't I remember anything else? Why do I still not remember anything about myself?"
"Sometimes when we go through significant trauma our brains will block out memories around it until we're ready to process and work through it."
"That's stupid. What happened to me to make me lose all my memories in the first place?"
"We don't know, only you do."
"What if my memories are gone forever?"
"We're working on making sure they come back completely."
They continue to play as Silas grows more tired and nauseated, he slowly laid his head down on the table in hopes the room would stop swaying.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm just really tired and I feel kind of sick, I might go lay back down for a while." Silas explained while getting up from the table.
"Sounds good, I'll let you rest and I'll come back later when you're feeling better." Dr. Matthews helped Silas back to his bed.
"Thank you." Silas laid down and covered himself in the cold weighted blanket on his bed, he had never used one before and found it surprisingly comforting.
"Stay with him and check on him every thirty minutes to make sure he's okay and check for a rash too. If he gets one, take him to the emergency room immediately." Dr. Matthews instructed.
"Okay, I'll let you know how he's doing."
"Thanks Jenny." Dr. Matthews smiled before leaving the room.
