~Carlos's POV~
"Girl talk. Crushed it," Dude tells me.
"Yeah except when it comes to asking her. I'm a total chicken."
"I'm gonna paraphrase one of the bravest boys I know; if she does not really love you, she is not the one for you."
"You really are a man's best friend." Dude and I head back to the dorms for my final fencing practice ever. After this I have decided my royal duties will come before all, so I'd have to quit fencing and tourney.
"Let's bring it in boys. Let's bring it in," Jay calls everyone to the middle of the gym. "Alright. You all know I come from the Isle, right, where things are pretty whack. No but there is one thing the Isle's got on Auradon. If you're strong, we want you by our side, girl or boy."
"Hey Jay uh hold on here... we don't break the rules here in Auradon. That's over on the Isle," Ty tells him. Always has to ruin things. Jay pulls out the rule book from his pocket and states the rule again.
"Let the man talk Tyler!" Soph screams from the balcony.
"The team shall be comprised of a captain and eight men. So uh give it up for your new team captain," Jay says moving out of the way for Lonnie to stand in the middle.
"What?!" He awards Lonnie with the coaches whistle and puts it around her neck. We all begin to applaud her and Jay signals for everyone to bow. Ty just gives up and bows anyways.
"Lonnie we're your number one fan!" the cheerleaders scream. She laughs and she gives her first order as Captain.
"Give me 10! Come on guys! Pick it up Ty!" she has her foot on his back making it tough for him to do the pushups. "Nice form Jay! Alright practice is over. Get out of here. Go get ready for Cotillion." she dismisses everyone for the day and we go get ready.
Jay and I head back to our dorm and there's only one question on my mind.
"Jay?" I start. He looks over at me and nods. "You think what I'm doing is a good idea?"
"Carlos, it's so obvious you two love each other very much. These six months have changed you. The both of you. What you have is beautiful, so don't let that all go to waste. Have faith in yourself and be confident," he backs me up.
"Thanks bro." I give him a hug and leave him to tidy up for the hour.
~Sophie's POV~
"Wow baby. You look so handsome," I say giving him a kiss. I hadn't seen him since fencing and I didn't arrive with him since I guess it's tradition to not see the Lady or Gentleman of the Court before the Cotillion. It's silly.
"You look amazing as well! I couldn't be happier to call you my Queen," he answers back.
"Hey have you seen Ben anywhere?" Mal comes from behind and asks.
