Ben, Mal, Alex, Carlos, and I were called in for an emergency meeting by Adam, Belle, and Fairy Godmother. Carlos and I decided to skip since we wanted to make sure the new arrivals felt they were at home. So he and Jay took the boys out for a boys day and Evie and I took care of the girls.

We decided to take the girls to the Enchanted Lake so we could hang out there. I was stuck in a gaze and heard my phone going off. I look to see the worst news I could've received all year. Oh no. 'The Queen's crown and Maleficent's scepter have been stolen.' No. No. No. This can't be happening.

"Everything ok S?" Evie asks with the girls staring at me.

"Yeah. Everything's fine. I just need to make a quick call to Ben." I sprint inside Auradon Hall and dial Ben's number immediately. I leave them with puzzled looks on their faces.

"Hello this is Ben," he picks up his office phone.

"Ben! What in the Fairy Godmother is this I hear about the crown and the scepter?" I yell into the phone.

"Sophie! Woah calm down! I don't know who did it but they're gonna pay. My dad is saying Uma could've done this." Mal was right. When we brought our defenses down for one day, since we didn't want to scare the kids, she strikes.

"I should've known."

"We will have to gather better safety measures. You should've come today to the meeting. But the kids come first, I guess."

"Ben! What are we going to do about the kids?!"

"Keep them hidden and safe. Who knows what other tricks Uma has up her sleeve? Well I have to run to another meeting. I love you Soph. Please stay safe." He hangs up and I signal for Evie to begin packing up. I text Carlos to immediately go back to the dorms and keep the boys there for the time being.

"I'll explain everything when we meet Mal later," I tell Evie when I go back outside.

When we meet Mal, she explains the entire situation for Evie and I and we're shocked. How could they plan on closing the barrier forever? And they haven't even consulted me about it yet. I'll just stay silent and tell Carlos later.

"Who else knows about the crown and the scepter?" Evie asks.

"No one. I mean... Think about it. People are scared enough as it is. We have to employ these entirely new security measures," Mal addresses.

"Will this delay our bringing over more VKs?"

"We're talking about closing the barrier for good."

"But you said no? I mean the four of us are living the dream here, and we finally get to share that. I mean, what could be more important than that?"

"Yeah. I know. I mean, maybe security or maybe peace of mind for everyone in Auradon."

"Is that what they're thinking? M were they seriously thinking that no one will ever go in and out of the Isle ever again? What, we never get to go back and see our parents? And what about these kids? We promised them that they could go back and visit whenever they wanted." I have no say in this moment. I just stand there and nod. "I'm so glad that you guys will be ruling together. Mal, you will be a part of these conversations with Soph, you guys will stand up for the VKs. Thank you for telling me. And you'll be a great queen." They look back at me and I give a fake smile.

It was around 10 pm when I headed over to Carlos and I's castle. I convinced a lot of people to let us get our own castle. Usually the King and Queen share but no. Sharing with Ben is a no-go for me. First kid to get engaged, first to make her own rules, first to get a new castle. I open the door and Carlos immediately stands up and gives me a big hug.
