I fall back on my twin size bed exhausted from packing all morning. Why didn't I just start packing last night you might ask. Well, I couldn't really do much since I was practically babysitting my completely wasted roommate.
"Imaniiiiiii"
Speaking of my roommate.
"You deadass finna leave me alone with my folks for the whole summer?" asked the 19-year-old college student.
I let out a small chuckle "Victoria, yo folks not even that bad." I say while sitting up turning to face my roommate, "you just don't like being home".
"Exactlyyy" she says while dragging the word, "I never liked being over there, they just do too much sometimes." The 19-year-old says while playing with the hem of her shirt.
Victoria is a girl that I met during the second semester of our senior year. We both went to school in Miami, but Victoria is originally from Texas. She moved to Florida to help her grandparents but, shortly after her graduation they passed away.
I wouldn't say I was popular but, I was well known back in school because of my sister. She was that girl in high school, you know the girl that you either hated her or loved you her. Yep, that's her alongside her best friend since childhood.
Anyways, Victoria and I met at a party the track team was hosting. I went to the bathroom seeing a dark skin girl with black and blond box braids passed out on the floor.
[ FLASHBACK ]
"what the hell", I whisper to myself after I tripped over something in the bathroom.
I look down and it's some random girl passed out on the floor. "Yo! you dead" I say louder as I crouch down to check the random girl pulse.
"Welp she's still alive"
I down the rest of my drink and started to make my way to the faucet. "Might as well wake her ass up, no way I'm leaving her unconscious ass here alone." I fill my now empty red solo cup with cold water and splashed it on the girl.
"SHIT!" the girl suddenly wakes up confused. She looks around for a bit "where am I?", the dark skin girl asks while getting off the floor.
"At the lamest party in all my 4 years of being in high school" I say while helping the dazed girl up.
