"Are you sure you want to do this Sasuke?"
The Uchiha narrowed his eyes at the creature.
No
Of course he didn't.
Any sane individual could determine the results of this fight. What they would probably find difficult to picture is how he was going to lose. With a fracture? Broken ribs? Even a black eye felt like mercy given.
And Mei was anything but merciful.
He could already see it. The faint spark in her eyes. Although she appeared very calm and collected, he could tell she was excited. A creature of mass destruction. One to be feared and revered. He was about to start with that one.
Sasuke clenched his fist, but it did little to hide the trembling. He hated the fear. He hated himself for it. And he hated her for making him this way.
"If you want to stop you can—"
He went at her, putting as much force as possible into the kick he was about to deliver to her head. Time slowed.
She was still, staring at him. Then-
CrAcK!
A fracture it was.
The Uchiha blinked in a moment of shock and perplexion. One foot on the ground. The other, just a few inches away from her skull, was twisted in an odd manner in her right hand.
The spar ended as soon as it began.
And then it hit him. He yelled and bit down on his lips hard enough to draw blood. Of course the pain would obviously be unbearable for a thirteen year old kid.
He tried to reach for the leg still stuck in the creature's hand. The other had long given up on him, leaving his body hanging in a strange way.
Mei was out of it. Facing a struggle of her own.
His blood was oozing from his bottom lip. She watched one drop slowly to the ground.
Sweet
Sweet and fresh
She let go of his leg, making him drop to the floor with a thud. With a sigh she took out the bottle, trying to calm her racing mind. Her eyes flickered to red, then black again.
By the time she'd composed herself the Uchiha had passed out.
The next time Sasuke opened his eyes was the afternoon of the following day. He found himself in a place he hadn't been to in five years.
"Oh, you're up. That was quicker than expected."
He stared blankly at the brown haired guy that walked in. And was numb until the 16 year old tapped his left leg.
"Woah." The boy brought up his hands in surrender when the Uchiha grabbed his collar.
"Who are you?!"
"I'm Kai." Kai replied.
"Sasuke." A soft voice spoke across the room.
Mei stood at the entrance, her long hair tied up in a messy bun...and that damned cat laying snuggly in her arms. It locked eyes with him and flashed a grin.
He scowled.
"C-Can you let go of me now? I can't really heal you in this position." The teen muttered annoyed.
The Uchiha looked at him, then let go. Kai let out a sigh grumbling, then moved his hand over the leg.
Mei watched the process in fascination. The green glow emitting from his hand was what people called chakra. She wanted to know what it felt like. The energy was just so surreal. Too bad it had no effect on her.
