"I thought you were taking me to your house, Sheila" Marigold seethed in the red glow of the neon sign
"And I will," Sheila said, as she turned off the car "But we need you checked out, first"
"I can do that myself" The Gryffindor stubbornly stated as she crossed her arms like a petulant toddler
"Of course, child"It was obvious to see, but Sheila was extremely worried as even after such a small journey Marigold was swaying in her seat. So, she tried a different tactic, "However, it would give you a story for why you just showed up out of the blue"
"Or I could just change their memories" The child soldier proposed with an easy grin.
Once she had found out how simple performing an Imperious was Marigold had no qualms in doing so, and right now wasn't such a moral battle either "That way there are no suspicions, and I don't have to talk to anyone""Everything will be fine" Sheila placated with a dismissive glance
"And now I will definitely not be doing so" Marigold retorted, with a glare"There will be two ways we will be doing this" Sheila said, having enough of the attitude "I help you in consciously or get people out causing a bigger fuss"
"You're clearly a Slytherin, Sheila" Marigold bitterly complemented, as she unbuckled the seat belt and opened the door
"Thank you, child"The reception they were given was complete and unadulterated horror, meaning the pair of magic users were immediately shown to a private room. By the time a knock sounded on the door, Marigold had been persuaded into sitting on the bed and reluctantly handed over her wand after the 3rd person was Obliviated
"Hello, I'm Doctor Gilbert" The man dressed in a white coat introduced himself when he closed the door
A sarcastic smile sparkled on Marigold's cracked lips as a new playfulness entered her tone, one reserved for Death Eaters specifically "I know I look like I crawled out of hell""Sarcasm, terrific" The Gilbert male muttered under his breath, as he clicked his pen "Now, can I ask you your name?"
Her paranoia was starting to fill her eyes, so she just shrugged with the grace of a drunk elephant. The brunet nodded, before asking "Do you know it?"
It was like Marigold was shutting down from the bright and playful girl that was here only seconded beforehand, so she just shrugged once more"Do you know where you are?"
That was something she did answer it was meek yet cold and filled with complete exhaustion that even made the two adults in the room sleepy "Mystic Falls, only know because of the sign"
"At least that is something" Grayson muttered as he started to scribble her answer, and asked not even looking up "Can you tell me where you were?""The woods" Marigold sighed, there was something hidden in her words, almost akin to fondness saying "I woke up in the woods"
"And before" The doctor pressed, very much thinking a vampire had attacked the innocently blood-drenched girl; a girl who was only a year older than his eldestSheila was feeling the anger, fear, power sweeping around the girl she found.
If someone could dictate murders, Grayson's would have a novel all on its own. So, before Marigold did some spectacular artwork with the Doctors blood, Sheila sharply contemplated "Let's not ask any more questions, Grayson""Right," The Doctor nodded. Placing his hands in his pockets and a soft smile graced his aged face as he asked, "Is it okay if I do an exam?"
"Yeh, but Sheila stays" Marigold bargained, as her eyes never strayed from his hands
"Perfectly fine" Grayson mused, hiding his shock at her compliance
