The weekend had flown by, it was well needed, especially after having come to meet the Salvatore vampire who had ripped into Vicki's throat.
Yes, Marigold Dorea Potter had figured out that Stefan and his elder brother were in fact members of the undead species; it was embarrassing how long it took for her to come to that conclusion. Then again they were different to her universe; that was what she was going with

But his little introduction just the day after the party; read threatening each other and Marigold riding every single memory of her using magic on him but leaving him in utter pain from her work.
The child soldier hadn't felt the rush of adrenalin in so long, the smile it brought to her face couldn't be displaced for hours

But right now, Marigold was about to head towards Maths with a definite frown, only for panic to settle in her bones when she collided with someone who didn't seem to let go.
This ultimately lead to everyone in the corridor stiffening momentary at the sound of a loud slam, before every pair of eyes zeroed in and saw who it was; they all left

"It's Matt," The Donovan quarterback yelled, as his face collided with the cold metal
"And?!" Marigold hissed, almost slipping into Parseltongue. Yep, she still has that little ability and probably always will.

"I'm not going to hurt you, Marigold, in fact, I was looking for you."
This was the wrong thing to say as the shaking Wixen twisted his arm tighter behind his back, any more and his arm would snap.
Matt thought the same, yelling loudly in pain "It's about Vicki"

"I'm not going to apologise," Marigold told him awkwardly, as she eventually stepped away from the quarterback
Matt was massaging his wrist and told her with horrid fascination in his eyes "Good grip"
"Thanks." The exhausted-looking Potter deadpanned, "anyway Vicki"

"Yeah, I wanted to thank you," The all American boy spoke out in complete sincerity, with obvious awe, "What you did saved her life"
"It was no problem," Marigold shrugged, "I've seen worse"

"Right," Matt sucked a hard and uncomfortable breath, trying to comprehend how to even understand the mysterious and unstable British girl.
"Again, thank you," Matt gushed again. "Vicki was all I have so I owe you"
"Cool."

There was another short pause filled to the brim with awkwardness. Marigold didn't care at how Matt was fidgeting under her emerald gaze.
Realising, he wasn't going to add anything, she pointed down the corridor, "Look I have to go."

What Marigold didn't know was Stefan was listing, he was about to leave to speed to the hospital, but the loud bang startled him and couldn't help himself; he had ducked into an empty classroom the moment everyone vacated the hallway.
It was just another piece of a puzzle he had yet to see the picture of when it came to Marigold Dorea Potter.

At the end of the school day, Marigold was demanded to be at the town square to help out Caroline handing out leaflets for tomorrow night's Celestial Event.
She had been there, for 10 minutes and was already done with everything mumbling to herself, "this is torture"

Marigold then gave a passing couple an elegant printed leaflet that will end up in a bin by the end of the hour "Here, have a leaflet about a ball of ice falling through space"

"Sorry about that," Caroline hurriedly said marching up to the bemused couple.
"Goldy!"
"What," Marigold defended, "I'm telling what they will be watching, Badger"
