Ringo's POV
"GEEEEEOOOOORGE?!"
Oh, it's no use. I must've screamed his name thousands of times by now, but it's no use. Oh, my, my. He's not here. It would be laughable if it wasn't sad, but let's face it, I'm coming undone.
I had a photograph of George and I in my pocket. I studied it for a few seconds, tears threatening to escape.
"Peace and love, peace and love!"
I screamed, hiding behind a tree.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
"Who-who are you? And what's with the sunglasses; it's practically night time!"
"Ha ha! That's classified information. But anyway, what's my name?"
"I don't know."
"It's Ringo, buddy! I'm you from the future!"
"Wow, really? Did I go blind or something?"
"There's no time for that. Listen, you need to find George before he's gone."
"Before he's gone?"
"Wait, wait, no, never mind, it won't come to that. He is somewhere here, but it's up to you to find him."
"You mean you can't help me?"
"No, I'm just here to spread peace and love. But I can give you some advice!"
"Like what?"
"Don't go where the road don't go. As long as you follow this one path, you should meet up with your best friend. I'm warning you with peace and love!"
"Ok, thanks!"
"It don't come easy, but better days are about to come!"
I follow my only path lit by dim moonlight, fearful of what lies ahead. He waves goodbye, with one last "peace and love" to match it.
He can't get enough of that, can he?
