you and shanks went back to the ship. you grabbed all your fruits and went to the kitchen ASAP. you dragged thatch with you.

"LOOK THESE ARE THE FRUITS I COLLECTED."

thatch: wow y/n, you actually went ahead of yourself

"shanks helped me too, hehehe."

thatch looked at the varieties of fruits you brought. you couldn't wait to try out everything. you started eating sneakily and then thatch noticed. he slapped your hand away from the fruits.

thatch: now that doesn't mean you gotta eat every little thing

"tch— meanie" *pouts*

you head your way to whitebeard and shanks. you tiptoed your way to whitebeard back and laid there as you usually do. they were too loud for you to hear their conversation.

WB: observation haki huh? i didn't know that brat had talent

shanks: for a young kid on top of it

they were both chuckling. they kept talking about you and how loud/stubborn you were. you were pouting behind whitebeard back.

WB: so when are you leaving?

shanks: i think it's time to leave tomorrow. we been here for days now.

you were surprised that shanks was leaving tomorrow. you were feeling sad because when shanks was there it was more fun. he let you do whatever you want without complaining and he was more childish than the other adults you encountered.

you ran towards shanks hugging me while crying.

WB: brat when were you here?

shanks: what's wrong y/n?

"why do you gotta leave? WAAAH"

WB: so you heard everything. i told you to not eavesdrop when the adults are talking.

"WAAAAAAH"

shanks smiled and patted my head.

shanks: don't cry y/n, i won't be gone forever you know? i'll be back once in a while.

"but what if you don't?"

shanks: then why don't you come and find me when you get older?

WB: don't give her any ideas red-hair!

"OKAY! I'll be even taller and stronger when I meet you. I'll even beat you in a fight hehe!"

shanks: oh yeah? then I can't wait for you to fight me *chuckles*

marco: they seem more like father and daughter to me yoi

thatch: that's how i feel when i see you and y/n together

shanks scratched the back of his neck. he was shy when marco said that. it was so cute. he does see y/n as her daughter even though he's 20 something.

the pirates decide to party all night for the last day with the red-hair since they leave tomorrow morning. you made sure to sleep early so you can say your goodbyes to him.

"goodnight everyone!"

WB: you're going to sleep this early while a party is going on?

marco: shocker yoi. are you feeling okay?

"i'm just tired that's all. now bye bye." you went to your room and slept.

—morning

you woke up very early. you sneakily left the room while whitebeard was sleeping. you saw the red-hair pirates were about to leave. you got your present ready and ran towards him.

you made a red string for him to hold his sword which will make it easier for him to carry.

"SHANKS WAIT!"

shanks: you woke up early?

"HERE! TAKE THIS."

shanks: what is it?

"a string so you can easily hold your katana"

Shanks smiled and patted my head.

shanks: i'll cherish this. now go away before you start to cry or I won't resist taking you with me.

you laughed at his comment. you backed away from the ship. they started departing, you kept waving at them. shanks was also waving until they disappear out of sight.

"TAKE CARE! DONT FORGET ME!"

and the red-hair pirates were gone.

you were a bit sad, but you got the courage to stay on your feet. you went to the ship and went back to sleep.
