"We're going to Fleming's for dinner. Use the clothes you bought the other day." Rick said as he bursted into my room."Can you please tell me who is coming with us and why do I have to look so nice?" I snapped.
"Nope. You'll find out when you see them."
"Them?"
"Yeah."
"How many?"
"You'll see."
"At least tell me if one of them is handsome." I said with a smirk
He rolled his eyes."I don't know" He laughed. "Now go change, we leave at seven."
I cannot lie. I was excited to find out who this persons were. I wasn't sure in wearing make up or not. I don't use makeup usually. I wanted to look good but not fake. I decided to wear only a bit of eyeliner, blush, mascara and lip gloss. I curled my long dark brown hair but just a bit. I put on a cream dress and brown flats. I considered wearing heels but I didn't want my feet to hurt all night.
It was 7:00 already when Rick came into my room. He was wearing a sky blue button-up shirt and dark blue jeans along with a brown leather jacket. He looked good. "You ready, Sof?"
"Almost." I said as I applied some lip gloss and smacked my lips twice.
"You have 2 more minutes. I'll see you downstairs. You look good, by the way."
I smiled and nodded as he closed the door.
We were already in the car on our way to Fleming's. "Since when do you like The Killers?" Rick said out of the blue. "A year ago, maybe. Why?". I answered looking at him as he kept his eyes on the road.
"I was just curious. Favorite song?"
"Change your Mind."
"That's a good one. Mine is Mr. Brightside."
"And the only one you know, too." I mumbled giggling.
"It's a good song! And it's not the only The Killers song I know. They're a really good band. I like them" Rick said laughing.
"They're the best band in the world" I corrected him. He just laughed.
We finally arrived to the restaurant. We entered the place as a nice lady showed us the way to our table. It was a big round table for 6 people. We could see the front door of the restaurant from there. We sat down facing the door.
Few minutes passed and I was really anxious. I really needed to know who was I going to meet and why. "Rick, who's coming?"
"You know I won't tell you."
"I know. I was just hoping you'd give me a hint or something."
"I won't."
"Please?" I said with my puppy eyes.
"No. They'll be here soon, then you'll find out."
Suddenly I noticed a very tall and familiar figure entering the restaurant. I squeezed Rick's arm. "Oh my god. Rick! Look, he's Mark Stoermer, The Killers bassist. Oh lord. I think I'm going to pass out." Then three other familiar figures entered the restaurant, following Mark. A curly haired one, another with thick eyebrows and dark brown hair, and finally a way too handsome man with the look of a diva. They were The Killers.
My heart beat raced and I started to breathe faster and heavily; I was too excited. I felt a million butterflies fly in my stomach. "Oh god. The Killers are here. I think I could die. Brandon Flowers is here! Why are they approaching our table, Rick? Oh my god. I can't believe this." I said in excitement as my favorite band was approaching our table and I could barely breathe. He just looked at my pale face and smiled.
