Main POV
The next day after staying in Brandon's house, I went to the hotel to change my clothes, then I was going with Brandon to the Neon Museum
I opened the room's door and I found Rick's disappointed face. "Where were you?" He asked in a pissed tone. "Somewhere. I didn't want to crash your perfect night." I answered as calmed as I could. "She was with that lame rockstar for sure. I told you she is sleeping with that guy." Dawn's head popped out of the bathroom door. "What!?" I exclaimed. While all the discussion took place, I was looking for my suitcase which seemed to be nowhere. "Where are my things?" I asked getting really angry. "Uh... I kinda sent them back to Tucson." Dawn said acting all innocent as she tried to hide the bitch she always is. "Why the fuck would you do that!?" I shouted as I could feel my face go red for anger. "Well, since you didn't sleep here last night... I don't know... I thought you might go back to Tucson or something so I just sent it last night." She said trying to sound innocent. I felt my blood boil in anger. How could she do this!? She told me not to sleep here. Gee, she's a bitch. "It was just one night! One. Fucking. Night! You told me not to come and ruin your fucking perfect night and you say you thought I went back home!? You're a piece of shit." I shouted at the top of my lungs. I'm not the one who gets this angry easily, but Dawn just makes things impossible. She does everything to piss me off and that makes me wanna kill her with my own hands. "Sofía! Don't be that rude! It was a misunderstanding. We can fix it!" Rick said trying to lower the tension in the room. "No, Rick. Fuck it!" I felt bad for shouting at my brother, but I was just too angry.
I exited the room and walked angrily to the elevator. I needed to get as far as I could from Dawn or else I would hit her. I felt and heard Rick running behind me shouting my name. I reached the elevator first but I couldn't stop him for getting in. "What the fuck happened there?" He said clearly confused. I just stared at the floor not wanting to say a word and trying to hold my tears of anger. "I told you, Sofía. I told you to be nice to each other for this not to happen. She did wrong, I know. But you can't blame her for thinking you were gone! She's not-" I cut him off. "Do you believe she really thought I was gone? I was about to come back here yesterday when she called me telling me to stay where I was because you two were having a 'perfect night' and I honestly don't want to ever see you two naked in a bed." I managed as some tears escaped my eyes. "She told you we were having sex?" he looked really confused. I nodded. "Well, we did nothing yesterday. But, where did you stay?" He was angry now and I hoped he was not angry at me. I wiped my tears away." As if that mattered." I muttered as the elevator reached the lobby.
Brandon was sitting on a chair facing us. He stood up and looked at Rick and then at me. He probably noticed my red eyes and he walked towards me and hugged me. "Are you ok? What happened?" He said softly. I loved how I fitted perfectly in his arms. I knew I wanted to be held like this forever. His embrace calmed me down and made me feel full of life and love. Even though I didn't want to break the hug, I knew I needed to get out of the hotel as soon as possible when I saw Dawn coming out of the elevator and reaching into us hugging Rick. Brandon kept his arm around my shoulders in a protective manner. "Can we go, Brandon?" I said looking up at him. "Yeah, sure." He said looking at me and then at Rick and Dawn with his beautiful hazel eyes full of confusion. "So you're really sleeping with him, aren't ya?" Rick said in realization and with a disappointed look. "I told you, babe." Dawn said looking at me with a devious smirk as she kissed his shoulder. "Really, Rick? You're really trusting your girlfriend that hates me more than me? I'm so fucking done with both of you." I answered angry and dismayed. "Bran, let's just go, please." I said turning around to face the door.
Brandon never removed his arm from my shoulders. While exiting the hotel he squeezed me tighter to comfort me. He was a sea of confusion and I could see why. We stood outside the hotel and he held my shoulders in his hands looking directly into my teary eyes. "Sof, what happened?" He said with a concerned look. I just didn't felt like talking so I buried my face in his chest and surrounded his torso with my arms. He hugged me tighter and drew patterns around my scalp comforting me. "It's okay, Sofi. Everything will be alright." He said soothing me. He rested his chin on my head and then he spoke. "Let's go." He pulled out of the hug and held my shoulders taking me to his car. The ride was silent, but the nice kind of silent. It helped me to calm down and think about what just happened and what I was going to do.
I was getting lost in my thoughts when Brandon's beautiful voice interrupted me. "Can I know what happened at the hotel?" He looked at me still confused and concerned. "Dawn is stupid and she sent all my things back to Tucson 'because she thought I was gone' since I didn't sleep at the hotel last night." I sighed. He did a confused face. "Wasn't she the one who told you to-" he paused to connect everything. "Oh." He said in realization. "What a bitch!" He exclaimed. I just nodded. We sat in silence again. "Is that reason enough to be so sad?" He asked again confused. "How do you know I-" He cut me off. "Your eyes. They are not shining as usual." He said staring directly into my eyes. "I know there's something else in all these Dawn situation. Let's go home and if you want to, we can talk about it." I just shrugged. I wanted to get this horrible feeling out of me, but I didn't want to bore him with my problems. "Oh, by the way, while you were up with your brother in the hotel, I got a call from our manager telling that we're not having concerts outside Vegas for two weeks." Brandon said with a heart-melting smile. "So that means I can keep my free tour guide for my whole staying?" I said with a grin holding a giggle. "Yep. You're lucky that your tour guide is a rockstar and he'll take you to his gigs around." He said with a proud smirk. "Oh yeah, I'm so lucky!" I laughed sarcastically. I loved it how Brandon could change my mood in seconds.
Brandon's POV
It was killing me to see Sofía this way. I knew she was having a bad time, and I wanted to help her. We arrived to my house and she ran to take a shower. She once told me she takes long showers when she's pissed or upset. It's a weird thing she does, but I find it adorable. I gave her one of my Joy Division t-shirts for her to feel cleaner. After a while, we were both sitting in my living room in the most awkward silence. "So?" I turned to her. "Are you feeling better?" She just nodded staring blankly at the coffee table.
"C'mon Sofi, just tell me what's wrong. I'm here to listen." I said concerned about what was going on her mind. "Bran, it's nothing really important. Thank you for caring, but I really don't want to bore you with my stupid problems." She said frustrated. "Anything that makes you cry mustn't be stupid. I know how much you hate crying in public, and the fact that your eyes were teary at the hotel tells that something you care about is not okay." I said concerned. "I'm not going to cry..." She said emotionless. "Okay, listen. I always make people think I'm a heartless bitch because I actually hate showing my feelings. I also hate crying in public, or even just crying be-" she cut me off. "Because it makes you feel pathetic."
"Exactly. But sometimes you just have to open up. I don't want you to cry or anything. Just tell me what's wrong. I swear it'll make you feel much better.""Why are you so interested?"
"Because I care about you. Look, if you tell me what's wrong, I promise I'll tell you something that made my cry for months." I told her, trying to make her talk. She needed to get that feeling out of her, and I was the one who'll listen to all her problems no matter what. "I swear you'll be falling asleep in the first five seconds but you insisted." She took a deep breath preparing herself for what she was about to say.
