Two months went by. I kept going to the dojo frequently since it was the only thing I could do. I got to see Rick's girlfriend again, Dawn. She's a bitch ass bimbo, but my brother loves her. I made a new friend at the dojo. Rick is pissed because I'm not studying, but he knows I'll find a good university for me. I already made the applications for U of A and Harvard. I got a job at the dojo. I help the sensei with the little kids. I used to that in Mexico, but I didn't get paid. Brandon and I kept talking almost daily. I guess we're good friends. My life has gone fairly well since I moved here.

"Sis, can you do me a favor?" Rick asked while we were cleaning the kitchen. I just nodded. "Can you please stay here on Friday night?"

"I'm going out with Avery."

"Sofía, please. I need you to stay. I swear it'll only be this time." He begged.

"Argh. Fine, but you wash the dishes tonight." And before he could say anything, I left the kitchen.

Friday came. I went to work, and when I came back home I found Dawn was there making out with my brother. It was gross. I tried to make as much noise as possible while I entered the house just to make them more uncomfortable than I was. "Why are you so noisy?" Rick grunted. "Why are you making out in front of me?" I snapped. Dawn rolled her eyes. "Go take a shower. You have something to do at eight." Rick said. "I just wanna sleep, Ricardo. I'm tired." I sighed. "Please do it. I didn't ask you to stay here just for sleeping." I growled and ran upstairs. I took a shower and put my jeans on, a long sleeved navy shirt, and white Converse. It was 7:30 and I was "ready", so I laid in my bed to rest but I fell asleep. I woke up to someone bouncing on my bed. "Wake up, wake up" I heard. I turned to see who was it and I almost had a heart attack. It was Brandon. He smiled. "Did you sleep well?" He giggled. "Oh my god!" I sat down. "What are you doing here?" I exclaimed and hugged him. "I had a gig yesterday in Scottsdale and I wanted to say hi." He smiled. "Well, hi." I giggled. "Hi." He giggled too. "Do you wanna stay here sleeping or do something fun around here?" He asked. "Well, Rick and his girlfriend are making out downstairs and I'm pretty sure it's going to end up in sex so I think we should leave." I said and Brandon laughed loudly. "Alright. And where should we go?" Brandon asked still laughing a bit. "I don't know, are you hungry?" I asked. "Yeah, a bit. What if we get something to eat near by and then we take a walk or something." Brandon replied. "Sounds perfect!" I said eagerly. We ran downstairs, where Rick and Dawn were still making out. "Rick, I'm leaving." I smiled. "Alright. Have fun." Rick said. "Thanks for helping me with this one, dude." Brandon said to Rick. "You're welcome, Brandon."
"Uh, Sofi. If you're going on a date I think you should change. Your outfit is very... uhm... Simple."Dawn said. I rolled my eyes. "It's not a date, and-" Brandon cut me off. "We're going nowhere fancy. She's fine."
"Sofía, that's why boys only want to be friends with you. At least wear a bit of makeup!" She said. "I'm not like you, Dawn. I don't have the need to wear heels and makeup even when I'm sleeping." I smiled sarcastically as Brandon and I walked to the door. "At least I'm pretty!" Dawn shouted. "At least I'm smart." I winked at her with a smile and shut the door.
"Ugh I fucking hate her." I grunted. "Just like her sister." Brandon said. "Her sister?" I asked not sure about what he was talking about. "Yeah. Remember I told you about Jenny?" I nodded. "She's Dawn's sister." "Oh God." "Yep, family of bitches." I laughed. We got in Brandon's (which was actually Dave's) car and he started driving.

Brandon's POV

After an hour of driving nowhere and not knowing where to eat, we ended up eating at a 24hr. pizza buffet. It was amazing how Sofía and I never ran out of conversations. She was so easy to talk to. I never had a friend like her. When I first met her, I treated her like I treat all the fans. I was "the famous Brandon Flowers," but after talking to her almost daily for three months, I feel like I can be just Brandon. I know she's my friend now, and I hope I'm her friend too and not just the lead singer of her favorite band.
