There was an artifact dated a long time ago. The queen, Athena has 2 daughters to take care of her and teach them to be a better example. She also created a gem. It was used for good deeds and to protect her family. But then people got curious and started to fight and beg for the women to use artifact magic on them. There was lots of death, abundance, and much more.
So she refused. She wasn't happy with the amount of negativity going around. While she was sleeping, someone stole the gem. Disappointed, she was ill so using her grimoire she created the monsters with her magic called the Skullwalkers. Their purpose was to take back the gem from those wicked people. And hide it in a safe place no one could think of.
At sundown, a little boy stole back the gem. The boy told the village the monsters who stole the gem. So the "monsters'' were exiled from society because they were thought to be evil. So people thought of it as evil creatures stealing and making their own kingdom hence, Heartshire.
