Vienna
(cw; violence, consumption of drugs and alcohol, suggested sa, vomiting, use of homophobic slurs, swearing.)
Vienna thought she knew exactly what hell would be like, but this was worse than any kind of torture even satan himself could imagine. She had been stuck in that god forsaken bathroom for over 20 minutes with none other than Steve fucking Harrington. She hadn't even wanted to go to this fucking party, she only came because Nancy had practically dragged her out of bed and dressed her herself. "Jesus you wuss just shut up someone will come up here soon to have sex or something anyway."
Harrington had been aggressively pounding on the door for at least 15 minutes, but apparently he couldn't get it through his thick skull that no one could hear him over the $3000 speakers he decided were a good idea to install on every fucking floor. He awkwardly slumped down onto the floor by the door, facing away from where Vienna was hunched over the toilet trying to throw up some dodgy weed one of the jocks had sold her. "This is such bullshit."
"Are you or are you not the one who slammed the door so hard the lock broke off when you stormed in here for no apparent reason." She retorted harshly, Vienna was honestly surprised no one had come up here yet considering the house was full of horny 17 and 18 year old boys and a shit tonne of desperate girls.
"Not my fault you were in here, I just needed a piss." he shot back. She just rolled her eyes and grimaced at the thought. Vienna sat back on her heels and pulled her hair up into a high ponytail in an attempt to keep it all out of her face as she slumped down against the side of the bath tub and sighed.
She smiled at the look of discomfort on his face before offering, "by all means, don't let me stop you."
To her displeasure, he took that offer seriously and then proceeded to take a piss whilst she was sat less than 2 feet away from him. "Thanks." He grinned sarcastically, but she made note of the fact that smile didn't falter as he flipped down the lid and sat on top of it.
"You're fucking disgusting," she said as the boy faced her, she still refused to make eye contact by leaning her head back and looking up to the ceiling.
Vienna Ryder and Steve Harrington have been kept in close proximity since the beginning of high school, but this was probably the closest thing to conversation they had ever had, and Vienna couldn't think of anything worse. She shuffled around a bit so that her coat pocket, well Billy's coats pocked, was in reached for the pack of camels and pulled one out. She pushed herself against the side of the bath for a moment in an effort to fish for a lighter in her back pocket, she came up with nothing. Before could put the pack away Harrington threw a lighter into her lap and put his hand out, asking for a cig. She could remember Tommy once complaining about having to buy his own cigs now because Steve had stopped smoking, if it was anyone else she probably would have questioned it, but she chose to ignore the idea of asking him in an attempt to avoid the conversation he would probably try to start.
She picked up the lighter and one of the two cigs, placing both in his hands and signalling for him to light them. She held the tip of hers over the small spark at the same time as him and then sat back again, this time against the wall rather than the tub so they were both now face to face. Vienna immediately regretted her decision, but she didn't want him to know that he was able to make her feel uncomfortable. The pair sat opposite from each other, still refusing to make eye contact, the way they had been ever since the boy realised he was now stuck there with nowhere to look except at her or at the ceiling.
There was an obvious tension in the room, but not the kind of tension you would want. Vienna sat in silence taking long drags, Steve took it a lot slower though still coughing occasionally. "Nancy's best friend and boyfriend go missing and she still hasn't come fucking looking. She was stone cold sober how the fuck has she not noticed," Steve complained.
