Why Do I Love You?

Chapter 10: Fear

I wake up in a cave with my ankles & wrists chained to the floor. A muzzle covers my head so that I can't breathe fire. 

A SkyWing steps into the cave.

"Where am I!?" I scream, "Where's my family!?"

"I don't know about your family," he says, "But there's a half-frozen room on down the hall where your IceWing girlfriend got her muzzle off & tried to threaten us into givin' you back."

Icicle, I smile, "Why did you dragon-nap us, anyways?"

"Well, since your brother's that dragonet of destiny, Cow, or whatever, we assumed that we'd probably get some sort of a ransom outa takin' you. As for your little buddy over there, she made a couple enemies when she went cuckoo at Jade Mountain. Figure we'll open bidding on 'er, highest bidder gets to kill her themselves."

Tears sting at my eyes, "You can't let her die! If she dies, I'll kill you!" 

"Too bad, so sad, dragonet." He kicks me before walking out of the room.
