BOOM!!!
The training center which we had just left from, was now blown to pieces. Evident of the rubble and dust left behind. I could not wrap my head around the fact that I was inside there a few minutes ago.
"Am I hallucinating again?" I silently whispered to myself.
"You Idiot, we better get out of here quickly before the cops get here!" Lex said dragging me away.
We hurriedly looked for a cab to my house. We were fine at least physically, but I was so worried about what had just happened. Looking at Lex she did not seem a tad bit troubled. She seemed fine like nothing had happened while I on the other hand was shaking like someone just put me in ice

"What the actual fuck just happened?"
"The school just blew up!” She sarcastically said.
"No shit! Why do I have a feeling we were meant to be inside the gym?” I said my tone getting louder
"Don't be ridiculous" she said nonchalantly. “Hurry up you nitwit" she screamed at me when she realized how slow my pace was.
We finally got a cab and gave the driver my address. I closed my eyes taking in deep breaths, trying to calm my racing heart when I heard Lexi speak.

"Something's not right"
"Huh?" I asked looking at her cluelessly
Before I could ask her what she meant, Lex’s hand was to the driver’s head, a gun to his head. There was a red light pointed to my chest.
My mind was racing, confused. What is going on. I screamed internally; I was cussing out. My eyes were wide open trying to decipher the situation.
"Get down Devon!" Lexi screamed at me bringing me back to consciousness.
I ducked in time, as bullets were sprayed on the wind screen causing glasses to shatter on us.
Lexi pulled the trigger on the driver, and I took out my gun as we both slowly walked out of the car.
Just then another gunshot was directed at Lexi
"Mayday, mayday, mayday” I screamed running back into the car
Lexi got on her knees using the car door as a shield so she could shoot.
She kept shooting not knowing what direction the bullets were coming from.
"Damn I am about to shit my pants" I said out loud.
"What?" Lexi asked confused by my statement

"Oops did I say that out loud?" I replied nervously. Just then about a dozen people dressed in black started approaching us, they were fully covered from head to toe leaving their eyes. They wore black overalls, black boots, black hoods, and black masks making sure their cover was hidden.
"I'm not going to lie the nigga in front looks hot as hell" I said shamelessly ogling at him
Lexi gave me the "are u kidding me right now look"
"What? it's not my fault I can see the size of his dick from here" I said.
She rolled her eyes in response
I quickly got down from the car, guns in both my hands ready for when they start to shoot.

Lex was more the experienced of us, I had just started to learn how to use a gun. But when in danger, that does not matter.
"Fuck that” I thought and began shooting at them killing two of them.
"Show off" Lexi whispered
Just then there were multiple gun shots coming our way.
“Shit!”
Lexi’s eyes met mine, we nodded in agreement and began to run as fast as we could. We have been trained on how to handle ourselves in such situations. With Lexie having grown up in the mafia world. It was a no brainer that we were going to losses this fight.
The men kept closing in on us. I heard a voice behind us.
"Need a ride" a blond in a Ferrari stopped and without even thinking we jumped in our guns still in our hands.
"So, what big trouble did you get yourselves into?" Mystery guy asked looking at us through the front mirror.
We just stared ahead, he looked oddly familiar.

What intrigued me is how he was dressed, maybe he was part of the mafia world too.
I still can’t believe we trusted a stranger. We both stared at him, none of us answering the question
"I'm Rony" he tried again, sensing the tension.
"Devon" I said instinctively
“What about you pretty?” he excitedly turned to Lexi, who was studying him closely looking straight into his eyes
"Matilda"

I gave her a questioning look and she gave me a blank stare in return
I then smiled and slowly whispered “Next time, give me a heads up about the damn plan!” I said still smiling trying to hide the fact that we were talking.
"Thanks for the ride, you can drop us here.” Lexi said
He obliged, and we alighted.

We began walking home in silence, each of us deep in thought.
When we got home, we both slumped on the bed.
Just as I was about to take off my shoes, mystery guy appeared with a gun pointed at Lexi.
How did he manage to get into the house?
"I am sorry princess, boss’ orders…" He said and just before I could act, he pulled the trigger.
I froze, trying to decipher what just happened.
There was a piercing ring in my ear.
