Elena stood by her dresser, inspecting the moonstone in her hand."Now that you've got this back, what are you gonna do with it?" Elena asked, turning to Bonnie as she spoke.
Bonnie sat on Elena's bed with Natalie on her lap as she played with the dangling pieces from Bonnie's purse. "Right now, it's what's binding the sun and moon curse. If I can figure out a way to remove the spell from the stone, then the stone becomes useless."
And according to Katherine, Klaus becomes vengeful." Elena added.
Bonnie shrugged. "Maybe. If he finds out."
Elena groaned. "Bonnie, can't this wait? Stefan is stuck in the tomb with Katherine. We've gotta get him out."
"Stefan wants me to focus on this." Bonnie argued, gesturing to the moonstone.
"Well, Don't listen to him. He thinks he's protecting me, but he's wrong." Elena reasoned, desperately trying to get her to understand.
Bonnie shook her head. "I'm taking Stefan's side with this one. We're not gonna let you get used in some creepy sacrifice ritual." Bonnie explained, snatching the moonstone from her hand.
"What are you guys arguing about?" Jeremy walked in from their shared bathroom. All three turned to look at him. He walked over to Bonnie and picked Natalie as she made grabby hands at him, handing back the moonstone before she could stick it in her mouth.
Bonnie turned to Elena, giving her a look. "Not arguing about anything."
Elena watched Bonnie put the moonstone in her purse, missing the look she sent to Jeremy.
"I need a coffee." Bonnie breathed, standing up and making her way downstairs.
Elena sat on her bed as Jeremy stayed standing there with Natalie resting on his shoulder. "What?" Elena questioned.
Jeremy shook his head sadly. "Why are you on some suicide mission?"
"I'm trying to prevent everyone else from getting hurt." She stated.
Jeremy scoffed. "Oh, so bringing Klaus the moonstone so you can get yourself killed is ok?"
She went to respond but he already turned and left, speaking softly to Natalie as they made their way to his room.
Elena stared after them with sorrowful eyes. She glanced over next to her, before realizing that Bonnie left her purse. Elena looked up to the door, and dug through the purse, searching for the moonstone.
Clutching her keys in one hand and the moonstone secured in her pocket, Elena walked down the stairs as Bonnie came around from the corner.
"Where are you going?" She asked, stepping into her way.
"To see Stefan." Elena responded, giving a small casual smile.
"You're lying."
"No, I'm not." She argued, walking down the last few steps.
Bonnie furrowed her brows. "Really? Tell your face."
Elena scoffed. "Are you serious?"
"She took the moonstone." Jeremy walked down the stairs, carrying Natalie in one arm as she held Bonnie's purse out in front of them. "Mama got caught." She exclaimed.
Confused, Elena looked between them. "How did you-"
"We tested you. And you failed." Bonnie replied.
Elena let out a breathy laugh. "Klaus killed Katherine's entire family just because she crossed him." She took a step closer, as she looked at Bonnie. "I can't let that happen."
