Chap 6

Tobias P.O.V

I hit the table repeatedly. The urge is strong and I lick my lips trying to taste anything, but I got nothing.

Where the fuck was Caleb?

Finally the door bell rang and I push my chair away. It hits the fall and I open the door wide.

There stood Caleb. He was carrying the same familiar bag I knew. He looked at me in irritation.

"You gonna let me in?"

I grab him by the wrist and slam the door. He sets the bag on the table and looks at the chair in an alarmed expression.

"Tobias are you okay? You don't usually act like this" he says.

I grab him by the collar tightly.
"I don't give a shit. I've been waiting for hours where the hell have you been?!"

Caleb give me a look and I let go off him. He knows I can't hurt him.
"Well if you must know I was with my sister watching a movie. Besides if I left Tris would be suspicious"

At the mention of Tris I calm down. I felt guilty working with Caleb behind her back but I can't let her see me like this. I shake my head to clear away the thoughts.

"Fine just give me something. Anything"

Caleb nods and opens his bag. He brings out tubes all full of some sort of drug. I didn't need a Rolex to know that Caleb was rolling in money.

"Here this is all sort of goodies" he says. I eye them with temptation. "Got some Marijuana."

I get the money from my jeans and lay them on the table. Caleb was great at acting the nerdy-boy-next-door part. He flashes me a fake innocent smile.

Caleb takes the money and hands me a full tube of Marijuana. I take it and wrap my hands tightly around it.

"Gotta go tris wants to watch Pitch perfect now which is totally annoying"

I cut him off with my hand. I only talk to him for the supply, other than that, he's nothing.

"I don't really care now go"

He rolls his eyes takes his bag and rushes out the door. I close it and sit down on the table.

I then slowly open the tube.

___TRIS P.O.V

I talked to Christina for a while in my bedroom. I told her about my awkward date and the hug and all.
"He so likes you" she yells in excitement.

I roll my eyes.
"One hug. Big deal"

She laughs and tell me about her double date with Will.
"I kept trying to be romantic but Uriah and Marlene are so immature" she rants until I was about this close to falling asleep.

"Okay gotta go shopping with my sis bye"

Thank the lord. I close the phone and sit on the couch watching Pitch Perfect.

"Mom have you seen Caleb! He's missing the best part" I yell. I was wearing my sweat pants and a plain blue shirt. Basically an outfit to show to anyone that today I'm not doing shit.

She comes in carrying the laundry basket.
"He needed to go to Robert to help him with homework. He says he will come back soon"

I roll my eyes and continue watching. Robert was this sixteen year old gamer with red locks and a chubby face. Caleb always seems to have to help him with something.

Suddenly the door opens and Caleb walks in. He hangs his jacket in the entrance closet and sits down next to me.

"Seriously going out with Robert again" I sigh.

He just shrugs and offers me a cheeky smile.
"Gotta do what I gotta do. Now which part are we at"

I look at him in annoyance.
"I finished watching it since you took so long to tutor the geek."

Caleb smiles.
"Finally my turn to choose" he takes a look at the movies through Netflix. "Okay want to watch the Hobbit?"

I nod and stretch my legs on the couch.
"Pass me the popcorn"

I was halfway through the movie with Caleb. There was this epic battle and Caleb kept closing his eyes when they would show blood or death.

"You should keep a diary. So it can be called diary of a wimpy kid" I smirk and he laughs.

"That was the worst insult ever"

"Whatever"

Then the light off the room was opened and my mom came rushing in with panic.
"Tris wear your shoes and go to the Eaton's house NOW"

Caleb stands up and his eyes widen.
"Mom what happen to Tob- I mean the Eaton's"

She shakes her head.
"I don't know but a fire had lit up in their house. Tobias is in the house"

Caleb sucks in a breath and at the mention of Tobias I rush and wear my shoes.
"Careful tris" my mom calls out behind me.

Caleb stands behind her with a horrified expression.

I run across the street to Tobias's house. It looked normal, the same red bricked house.

I ring the doorbell but there was no answer. I start to rapidly knock on the door until it was finally opened.

I stumbled back as a wave of smoke hit me. I walk in and see Tobias lying on the floor behind the door.

"Tobias what are you doing" I yell. His eyes were bloodshot and his lips were parted open.

He's drunk.

"I-I don't know. My dad is coming home and he wanted dinner so I opened the stove and it burst into flames" he mumbles in a trembling voice.

I let go off him and run to their kitchen. The fire was staring to spread even more and the room was covered in black smoke.

I go to the counter and take the jar full of water. I dump it on the fire that was on the stove. It lit out but there was flames on the table and the Chairs. I scream in frustration and the fire lit even brighter.

Suddenly I was pushed away by a man with a large hose. The fire dies out and from his uniform I knew he was a firefighter.

"Are you okay kid?" He Says. I nod and cough at the smoke. He takes me in his hands and lays me in the grass outside.

Tobias was lying unconscious next to me and I squint me eyes to see what's happening.

There stood Marcus Eaton talking to the uniformed men. His car was parked in a careless manner and the driver's door was open. He was rushed and I knew it.

I glare at Tobias but his eyes were closed. He looked tired and his shirt was ripped and so were his pants.

"Why would you do this" I whisper. He doesn't response or move.

I was then caught by the wrist by my dad. Caleb was behind him and he was starting at Tobias.

"Tris lets go home. Marcus has a lot to deal with right now" my dad says.
His eyes flicker to Tobias in anger.

"He's such a wasted kid" he says "All he cares about is the drugs"

And at that, Caleb coughs.

Lmao yesterday we had our school dance but it was cancelled because my school sucks. Tbh I feel like 70 tickets sold is enough for a dance.
