[ Skates over dates ]

Chapter 1

We'll be there in a few minutes'' Mom said, ''Mhm'' I replied, "You two get some friends at school."Mom said, "Tell her that" Ben mumbled, "Oh, shut up you, Gago. "I heard that! You pig." Ben said, "Good.."I said under my breath, "Don't give your brother an attitude" Mom said, "Seriously? He st-" I was saying before my mom cut me off, "Stop it. I'm not dealing with you both today."Mom said, "We're here. "My mom said, I opened the door, got out of the car, opened the trunk of the car and grabbed my skateboard and my backpack, and skated off, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Ben shouted, as I just continued skating. "Let her be," Mom said, "I- Okay.." Ben said I'm at an old skate park. I tried a few tricks and just sat there. On my phone, I heard a loud but hesitant voice. "Hello? Can someone help me?", "What the-?" I said, turning my head towards the noise, "Hello?!" The screaming continued. I got up and walked up to the screaming person, "Are you okay?" I asked, "My skates are stuck!" The person said, "Oh? Here lemme help."I said, "Thanks!" The person added with a small smile. "Mhm, no problem."I said, "I'm Alyx,"  "Your wheel is messed up," I mentioned, "Oh?" Alyx said, "Come with me," I said holding Alyx's hand "huh?" Alyx said, "Where are we going?" Alyx asked, "Right here" I replied, "Ok-" Alyx said, I grabbed my bag and started looking through it, "Here it is" I said, "What is it?" Alyx asked, "A wheel" I replied, "A wheel?"Alyx said confused, "For your skates.."I replied, "OH! Sorry, I can be a little stupid. I wasn't paying attention-" Alyx mumbled.. "Pfft.. Same don't worry," I turned my head and started laughing, " So, are you new here? I don't think I've seen you here before," Alyx asked, "Oh, I just moved here," I replied, " When?" Alyx questioned., "Today, actually" I replied, "So what's your name?"Alyx asked, "I'm Arika," I said, "I'm Alyx," Alyx said, "Pfft.. You already said that" I said, "Can you sit down for a sec so I can put the other wheel on" I said, "It's okay. You don't have to do that" Alyx said, "It's fine, I have the stuff to change the wheel anyways."I said, "Are you sure? You don't have to" Alyx said, "Yeah, It's ok" I replied, "Here sit," I said, "Okay," Alyx said sitting down on the ground in front of me "Those skates look so cool are they yours?"Alyx asked, "Mhm I designed it" I replied, "Cool!" Alyx said, "Here I finished fixing it to see if it stays," I said, "Okk,"  Alyx said about getting up, "Something wrong?"I asked, "I'm kinda new to skating.." Alyx said, "Oh? That's okay. Here." I said, giving Alyx my hand, "Thanks" Alyx said, "Mhm, so what school are you gonna go to over here?" Alyx asked, "I have no idea, I will find out tomorrow though."I said, " Oh? You have a phone, right?"Alyx asked, "Mhm, I have an account on discord if you wanna add me." I said, "Uh sure," Alyx said.
[ We exchanged accounts, added each other and we hung out for a few more hours at the skatepark, then we went off to hang out at my new house. ]
"You just moved in and yet your room already looks cool.."Alyx said, "I still have a lot to unpack.." I said, "Oh? Maybe I could help." Alyx suggested. "You sure you even want to? It's like 15 different boxes..." I said, "It's the least I could do for you to help me with my skates," Alyx said, "If you want you could just sit on my bed while I start unpacking," I said, " No it's alright, I can help," Alyx insisted, "If you say so.."I said, "Where should we start?" Alyx asked, "Uhm... I have no idea.." I said, "Clothes first?"Alyx asked, "Sure" I replied,
We started with the clothes, then the shoes, then the books, then my art stuff and my devices.
Hey? What do you use the devices and stuff for anyway?" Alyx asked, "Oh, I make beats for my stepdad. He is a rapper/singer," I said, "That's so cool! I wish I could do stuff as you do." Alyx said, "I can teach you if you'd like" I suggested, "Do you write as a hobby, or is it just for school?" Alyx asked, "I usually write as a hobby I make random stories."I said, "Me too!" Alyx said, "Sounds cool. Can you show me?" I said, "Yeah, tomorrow I can after school," Alyx said, "You draw too?"Alyx asked, "Mhm, well I used to. Not anymore." I said, "Ah. Why did you stop drawing if you don't mind me asking?" Alyx asked, "I just didn't have the motivation anymore."I said, "Well, your drawings are good."Alyx said, "Oh? Thanks" I said.
After we finished unpacking everything it had already been late so Alyx had to go home...
