We Are Venom (ON HOLD)

Chapter 2

"That was a lovely story" 

      I heard the deep voice behind me say. Not even needing to turn around I knew it was none other than Nick Fury. Putting the tater tot in the oven and grabbing some chocolate before venom ate my liver I turned around to see him sitting on my couch.

       "What do you want Patchy I've already told you I don't want to join your super-secret boy band" I said while rolling my eyes. "The tater tots are taking too long can I eat him" V asked coming out of my shoulder. Telling him no and getting the tater tots out of the oven and tossing one back to him I moved to the couch. Nick sighed and said, " Well then I guess it's time for me to go since that's the reason I came over here". 

        Getting up and escorting him to the door before he left he turned and said " If you ever change our mind you know where to find me" and with that, he turned and left. Venom turned to me and said, " Why does he keep bugging us in the middle of the night when I'm eating". Angling my head to where he could see me I laughed and told him " I honestly couldn't tell you why" closed the door and went to finish feeding V and going back to bed.

      I woke back up around 5:00 am to the sound of my door about to be broken down. I jumped up and started to pack a bag full of the most important thing in my room. "Is it them?" V asked in my head not wanting to alert them as to where I was I just nodded my head. Finally finishing with my bag I grabbed it and prepared to jump out of the open window in my room.

        It's times like these that make me think that the universe hates me. Just as I was about to jump my bedroom door broke down and about 10 men ran in and grabbed me out of the window. The one who grabbed me had a sick smile on his face and told me "We're not letting you get away this time sweetheart" I made the spontaneous decision to name him Alex. Just as the men were coming towards me with cuffs Venom said "These are bad guys let me bite their heads off". 

        Rolling my eyes knowing that he was right and that this was the only way we were going to get out of here okay saying "Mask on" in seconds I felt the familiar sensation of venom taking over my body and the men's faces were price less. As Venom started going crazy biting heads off and slinging people all around my room I thought of a good one-liner when he got done. Right on time, he was down to the last guy who looked like he was close to if not already shitting his pants.

         Walking up to him and grabbing him by his throat Venom unveiled half of his face and let the other half be mine. In a sinister mix of both our voices, we said "What scared of a little goo?". He didn't get a chance to respond before his head was bitten off. Venom retracted from me and I grabbed my bag and jumped out of the window as I heard more men making their way into my apartment. 

       Climbing down into the small alleyway on the side of my building I landed and pulled my hood up as I heard them looking for me slipping quietly out of the alleyway and blending effortlessly into the dark I made my way towards the subway. 

     After about a 20-minute ride I made my way to a shield building. As I walked into the building it seemed as if all eyes were on me in a judgemental way. Doing my best to ignore them I went up to the front desk and asked "Is Nick Fury here" the blonde receptionist looked up at me and picked up the phone to call who I assume is Mr. Furry himself. After a while, she told me the way to his office and I went arriving at the office not bothering to knock I walk in.

He looks up and me and displayed what can only be described as a shocked look which I don't blame him for I was kinda surprised with myself I've been declining his offer for months. As if he knew what I was here for he asked me " Well what made you change your mind" not ready to let my pride go yet I decided to have a bit of fun with this and get on his nerves a little too. "What in gods name are you talking about Nick," I asked in a playful tone. Him not looking the slightest bit amused but also not saying anything I decided to keep going. "Walking a bit closer to his desk I looked him dead in his eyes and with the serious face I could muster up I started to speak gibberish to him. Doing my best to make it look like I was speaking in a full sentence after I felt like I had spoken enough gibberish I stopped and he looked at me and said " I don't have time for your bullshit either tell me what you came here for or get the hell out".  

       Realizing that he really had no patience for my bullshit at the moment I decided to stop and tell him the real reason but before I could tell him myself Venom came out of my shoulder and decided to tell him his version of the story. "Just as she had gone to sleep after you left these fuck heads broke in and I ate them bit all of their heads off and then she ran here instead of letting me eat the rest of them".

      Fury looked at me with a wide eye and asked " Who broke into your apartment". Not wanting to explain it to him and wanting to go to sleep I replied with a simple " I think you know who now I came here to tell you I accept your offer". Luckily for me, he took that as an answer and called an agent to take me to a room.

     As we walked V started talking to me "You know who you're going to be meeting tomorrow right?" Reply to him in my head so as to not freak the agent out I said " I do but we're not telling them about you im trained so it will be easier to cover up why im there which also means no loud outbursts and no randomly coming out". Of course, he was only worried about one thing.

     "Will, I still be able to bite bad guy heads?" he asked in true Venom fashion. Giving a little chuckle I told him "Not as often but yes you will". Right at that moment, we arrived at the room I would be staying in for the night. Thanking the agent I went to lay down already being in my night clothes. Closing my eyes the last thing on my mind before it all went black was the tall tower that can be seen from any point in New York.
